if you want my opinion on it docs are just about obsolete with the new system..i play on Gorath and since we are the tc server copy right now i see no real reason to be a doctor anymore..Ive been a master doctor since early sept of 03 and ive seen the ups and downs of being a doc but the new system imho just doesnt cut it. from what hunting groups ive seen the last couple of days are using jedi in their party to do the healing. the buffs and woundpacks i had in my inventory are now stims..stims which you can only use on yourself and not other people in your party. the foods are messed up...when buffing my be clothes make no difference i only got 10% raise in health no matter what combos i used, the regen wasnt all that great and the highest hit i got on an advanced bacta injection was 245
Did you report the be cloths doing nothing?

I believe there are many issues right now with the doc prof skills. The adv bacta for example should be the highest heal in the game. So I would not count out doc just yet until they get these things figured out.

My biggest concern with Doc profession in CU...Stims
I thought it was a bug that I couldn't use stims to heal others as Doc...I see a serious flaw with this limitation of crafted meds in CU...not to mention a considerable timer between stim heals
Either devs will have to increase the effectiveness of our 'med-less' healing abilities or they will have to allow us to use stims to heal party memebers...mainly speaking in relation to keeping the group alive in high-end content.

Adding some info on buffs from TC...
You can apply buffs/enhancers while engaged in the combat.
You don't need a droid to apply buffs/enhancers.
Matta mentioned this in the other thread, and I can confirm that buffing over existing buffs doesn't seem to reset the timer.

Q2: How good will a doc buff be?
A2: Upto about 20%. (as I get hard numbers I will add them)
Sort of an answer here because I forgot to take note last night but from what I remember the health buff (nuitrient infusion or such like) boosts your heath by 10% without enhancers.
So if you have 3000 hp expect 300 buff.
Now I'll try to grab the other stats as they stand, or maybe one of you can beat me to it

Medical city - increase or not?
Janta Blood and Spider venom - worth anything or now useless?
Enhancers - meant to do nothing as appear to be?
Doctor heals - meant to be as poor as they currently seem to be?
Buffpacks conversion - into stims, working as intended or a mistake?
Master doctor using enhancers - reports are they they simply allow a novice doc get the same effect as a master doc?
BE clothing - still meant to increase values?
Overbuffing - meant to be possible or not?
10% vs 20% - how can we give a 20% buff when everything peeps seem to have tried is only 10%

Will Janta Blood be converted into higher numbers (maybe 2 or 3 for 1) because of new higher component requirements?
Will Spider venom be converted to higher power and higher number (perhaps4 for 1) because of the higher strength of the AIAs and higher component requirements?
Will current enhance packs and poison/diseases be converted into low level stims, as reported on Bria and Gorath, or to appropriate strength enhancers?
Do droids or medical centers give a med bonus?

Hi, need some clarification:
Adrenal boost - does it stack on general ranged/melee speed or how exactly does it work ?

Oh while we're asking: Seen as Doc is now considered a combat prof and gets weapons but no obvious certifications, can we pleace have the certifications window back on our skill sheet? It saves the hassle of checking each individual weapon we get to see if we can use it.

What exactly do enhancers do? Is it the same thing as Food? I was wondering what all this food I made will do in the furture.
From what I have seen I know that Bivoli Tempariraises Buffing Efficiency. Is that the same thing as enhancers? I hope not.
Cause if at master Doc it doesn't make a difference I guess I will be getting rid of my food.

Since you dont need master medic to master doc anymore, does my buffs get affected by this negativly? eg. since your get lower healing threatment skills without master medic....

Q: Are doctors still required to be in a medical center or in the effect radius of a medical droid in order to heal wounds?

At the moment you can heal wounds anywhere, and there appears to be no advantage in using either a medical droid or hospital. That may change of course.
