SOE Dev's spend all there time nerfing and zippo time adding content!
This would be a great game if it was the other way around!
I care little how others choose to play this game -- If people choose to be AFK buff bots and itprovide a service to the community then more power to them! Take them away and people will complain about not having anyone to provide their buffs or even heal their wounds. No one group wins on this debate -- fight the good fight and argue for better content! At least everyone wins

I find it somewhat silly that folks can gain xp and earn money with activities that require "active participation" (as oppose to crafting, where you create then put onto vendor to sell)

Hey, here's an idea, how about Docs take the Mind Buffing and you guys can AFK Bot till your little hearts are content. Then maybe the Devs would let us actually do something fun instead of having bizarre expectations like we should stand in the same freaking spot from server up till server down.
What kind of lame game is that?

I don't care how anyone else plays the game... the problem with Bots are that they interfere with Live Entertainers ability to play the game. Leveling Dancers can't even get EH XP when a Bot is around... and our leveling experience is already boring and slow enough.
Get over it. We aren't Doctors. Bots interfere with every single playstyle we have. We should be given the option of selling Holo Recordings as Buffs, they should become a fast before and during battle activity that is performed on the back lines, or we should be able to trade them off for something more conducive to our playstyle.
We don't have a whole lot of options, Bots hurt the little gameplay we do have.

BTW, how would you guys feel about NPC Doctors in Med Centers and Percentage Based DoctorBuffs just like Dancers' and Musicians'? That will rock too, right?

I'm sorry if you find your proffession boring, perhaps you should think about a career change.
Buffbots/hologrinders did not invent afk entertaining %50 of entertainers were afk long before either of those patches went in. It's whiners like you that are going to get the recursive macros taken away though and that will ruin the game for everyone, so if i have to choose between dancers getting more xp or recursive macros I'm gonna take the macros everytime.

You have no idea what you are talking about.
A. Why are people AFK Entertaining? Is it because they are having such a super good time it's just too much for them and they have to take huge multi-hour breaks?
B. Duh, recursive macros are the main way most Dancer Levers get through our leveling whether they are Live or AFK. I never asked that the recursive macro be taken away and I am actually dead against it.
BTW, I've actually talked to the Dev who has decided that Recursive Macros have to go and you have no clue.
I said Doctors could have the Mind Buffing, be happy. You can one stop shop at the Starport. Nifty, eh?

I can never understand these types of posts. You don't like how someone does something so you want to deny them their game time they paid $15/month for. AFK buffbots are almost always used because of the convenience...I'd imagine your view of them would be markedly different if you played at 2am CST when most everyone is in bed.
While I agree that ATK is preferable, AFK buffbots take out the tedious work of finding someone late at night/early in the morning who can buff you. Until the Devs say that this is a bannable offense (which it won't be since it's simply using a game mechanic) then these posts are silly. The answer isn't banning...if you don't like them then provide a better service than the buffbots and you'll always have customers.
