Well put, couldn't have said it better myself.
A man after my own heart, 5 stars for you sir!

When I get Master Doctor I know I'll have earned it. I'll remember the times I've revived players so the group can carry on, healing people in the nick of time and patching up people after a fun bit of PvP.
I'll remember the times I could only heal a few wound points at a time, the first time I used my Advanced components in crafting, and the first time I experimented with good resources to get really good stims.

Like life it's about the journey, not the destination!

Here's pretty much what I did. Never used a tumbler except once, and it was an accident. Walked in on a guy in a clone center with a nearly depleted action bar just standing there. Standing, mind you. So, I hit him with a stim. I stood and watched his Action bar just drain away again, while he stood there. I finally noticed the little tumble icon in his bar. Apparently he had set up his little tumble macro in a spot where the game couldn't graphically let him tumble. Was very odd.

1) Cantina with large group of Entertainers, get in group to watch for who needs healing. You can also grind out crafting xp during any slow times in the Cantina.

2) When the wounded come to the Cantina to heal their mind first (since everyone has learned that that makes the other healing easier) send them a /tell and ask them to come outside and you'll heal their other wounds. You need a med droid for this, of course.

3) When travelling, scan through the people outside and inside the starport and heal them. Unlike ninja buffing, have never met anyone who didn't appreciate "stealth" healing. You'll probably even get a couple tips.

4) Go up the enhance line. Offer enhances to anyone who will take them. Make sure they know it's not gonna be a huge buff. Most people who have access to no buffs will take whatever you got. Work up to some better packs, then keep offering buffs. This is a big xp earner, especially with the high end packs. Did wound speed last, and with D packs experimented down to 90, did this line in just a couple hours. You should be able to get from 4-6k xp per full buff set as a close to Master Doc buffer.

I personally don't like tumble healing or pet intentional wound healing. But that's just me.

tumblers need healing too! do whatever works for you i say. personally i dont like healing people that much but i would love to be able to enhance myself. doctors post rants about people annoying them for buffs so i decided to master doctor to do my own buffs. I'll also save 6k every time i want to do it. consider me the plastic surgeon of your profession and realize that not evryone wants to be a healer. if i wanted to get my healing exp in the field i would have been a combat medic.

Im a master Doc on farstar and i maxed my doc med xp before crafting this was easy with large hunting groups had to pay the NPC trainer though for training as there was only 2-3 other docs that i could find at the time but since X-MAS holo gift has gine stupid with MD hopefully this will not last.

Also i saw in one post that someone is buffing for 10k+ how the hell is this even possible the max i have buffed for is about 2800 using a 846 D pack. and what gets to me is how you can buff some one for 1.5k+then hit the next person for 900. **edit** stupid.

What do people charge for buffs? max i have received is 15k but was for full set of 6 good buffs? usually charge between 6-10k for full set depending on where i am?

I found that a combo of hunting parties and hanging out in sickbay wasn't a bad way to go. Of course, this was before everyone and their clone decided to become docs. Seriously though, I think accompanying a hunting party is the best way to earn med XP at the moment. At least the most fun, anyway.

Of course, you could always hang around the Sarlacc and cure everyone who got too near (just be sure you're a Field Surgeon first).

I went through the ranks by wound healing at the starport. Whipped out the med droid and healed people as they were coming in and while they were standing around waiting for the shuttle. Wound healing doesn't hurt anyone and you get talk to some people from time to time when they notice. Saves the combat folks downtime and progresses you nicely.
