A flat out "no bank tips" policy is a bad Idea. This is the macro I run.

I do not agree. As far as I'm concerned, a"no bank tip" policy is the best policy. This avoids the whole "If that guy can bank tip, why can't I?" arguments. Plus, there is usually a bank terminal nearby. Take a look at the Coronet Starport buff area... the bank terminal is a 30 second run away. The Outer Rim outposts usually have a bank terminal right next to the mission terminals.

And if you have trouble keeping track of your line without the bank tip e-mails, try using the /notepad command. You can list your line, mark off who has paid, and also keep a list of those "never buff" people.

Or, better yet, grab a pen and paper and make a list the old fashioned way.

I then figure out he never fake bank tipped me and I just got 40k woohoo!!

Once you figured out he was telling the truth you should have given him back the extra cash with an apology since it was your mistake, not his.

I started only buffing next to a bank terminal this really cut down on the amount of bank tips I was getting. The funny thing is there are still people who will bank tip even though they are standing next to the terminal. Lazy just lazy.

I feel wierd, I've never ever been bank scammed. I'm on Radiant and buff on Coronet... I guess people on this server just haven't really heard of it / decided not to use it... either that or I'm very lucky, lol.

I wonder if he posted that after he was my post or before... anyway good luck with that. I am the only Doctor I know on Gorath who still buffs people (even though I have to deal with people like what some of my post are about) on a regular basis. I figure somone should, and I can make easy money while I read Emails or talk with friends. also waiting for shuttles

I don't think that everyone that plays realizes that even if you belong to a bank on one planet, you can use the bank terminal on an entirely different planet to withdraw funds.

Yeah...that kinda gives Doctors a bad name. If you noticed I did really check whether the guy did fake me...........Plus you shoulda tipped him 20k back.

Whatever happened to a sense of honour?

I just keep my inventory open on the bottum left ofthe screen. I have the window in its smallest size and I just watch it. Its really NOT hard. Before I startbuffing I zero out my bank and thats it. I have a macro buffing that tells them they are done and to have a nice day. When the new costomer steps up I wait for the cash to hit and then hit the macro. There is nevertoo much going on that I am not aware when I get a payment. I do not know what is different that people are unsure what they are paid or if they areeven paid. Just keep your inventory open and your fine. No need for extra chat windows or extra text to be spammed. Just watch your balance and your fine.

I have never been scammed. But thatis partially because Iknew about the bank tip scams before I was ever buffing. I play on Bria and have not even had someone try to scam me. Maybe I have been lucky.

Also, the "no bank tipping" thing is dumb. What will we do next, only acceptAmerican Express?

The people that tip you before you both agreed to the buff services or any payment was to be made are ass out. Thats when it becomesexactly what it is called, a "tip."

I have personally stopped buffing the public.

Why dont we all go on a one week strike ? See how that fares....

No bank tipping dumb???

By doing that you are doing the customer a favour simply because its cheaper....no surcharge. People not taking bank tips would never have happened if people hadnt tried to scam....

At the end of the day its fairly a moot point to me. I don't advertise my buffs, I don't sit in starports or in Coronet trying to make money. I do when and if people ask. Yet I still get some abuse....lol

I couldnt do the sitting advertising thing. I tried once not for me....too impersonal 'next', might as well shove a label on their head after...a proper factory line.....

Also why so many Doctors get even more aggravated, especially with bank tips and so forth. After sitting there and the fotieth customer goes by and some one says a random poor comment 'blam'

Have you ever seen a factory worker on a production line in a good mood just after or during work? Doing it like that is soul destroying and demoralising. The monotony. Many others make much better money and all they have to do for their end product is stick on a vendor, don't want the item go elsewhere. No grief.

I get stressed enough after some of the comments I get after just buffing on request (oh and I try to remember not to wear Master Doc tag in Coronet, asking for trouble..lol)

Only a moron would do something as stupid as this and even more stupidly crow about it on the boards.
