To me, a noob in the truest sense, doesn't have any idea what a buff is. I think a lot of these people are probably starting over from another server. These people don't get any sympathy from me. I know it would be a little bit of a challenge, but I could start on another server and generate enough cash pretty quickly to at least arm myself and purchase some low end ubese. From there, I can buy buffs and head to Dantooine to make some money,

I think a lot of the people are just used to being rich and having it easy on another server, and they aren't prepared to work again to get up to that level so they beg. There are some people who may read some SWG forums before they start the game to learn about it. I feel this is a very small percentage though. Probably around 5% of actual players read the forums, so I would think the percentage is much smaller among incoming players.

That being said, I do like to help people, and I think that carrying low end buffs is a good idea to help new players. If they are polite, I usually will help them out. These people typically don't ask for help though frommy experience. Normally it is "u buff..i have no money lol".

I did not even know what a buff was for a month,i found out from this dude in a camp givein me one for free and i killed SOOOO many butterflys so i wanted more,a sh*t load more later i became a doctor in a new char after i went through 2 deleted chars blah blah blah i'm never quiting Doctor its too fun to pass up blah blah desided not to go jedi because of it

Lol I didn't know what a buff was till I was a doc (back in Mid July).

Also, I don't buff newbs.I actually don't buff anyone! ANYWAYS! Tho. If they wanted buffs so badly, they could get some money and head to Coronet. I've never met a "true" newb that wanted buffs, so I can't really say anything else about this!

I don't buff newbs who ask or beg for buffs. If they know what buffs are, they aren't that much of a newb, and if they beg, go grind doc yourself.

If I see a newb and talk to him etc, and they seem like a cool person, nice, and don't make it a point to tell every person that they see they are new(pet peve here"Hi im new"), then I'll heal em buff em give em some credits to start out.

In short yes I buff newbs for free but not when they askme to.

If a newer player approaches me in a kind matter asking me for a free or cheap buff I will usually give it to them. I wont do it more then once or twice, but I will help them out. Just a basic courtesy in my opinion, aslong as they are nice.

New players do not need buffs, considering their skills enable them to have a lengthy battle with a capper spineflap or flesh-eating chuba, they have no business with buffs, no business attacking anything bigger until they have the skills to make such a battle less than 'epic'. As a M Hvy Swordsman, with buffs, I can take down Nightsisters, Force Crystal Hunters, Crazy Geo's, Enhanced Kwi's, Enhanced Klickthingies and squads of Black Sun guys without breaking a sweat and in under 5 mins, buffs even then, do little more than let me put my armor on. With the enhanced regen, my HAM rarely gets touched... Anyways - enough on how great I am

Noobs buffs... bad idea - they'll go attack a rogue falumpaset, rogue fambaa or try and take a Mauler Uber-Leet-Ultra-Megazord-Morphing-God with their cdef and get raped, then they'll be back asking for more free buffs...

10k is my fee, +2500 for just over 3 and a half hours, I'd say that's a pretty damn good price, I will not give them away to anyone, selfish? Maybe - guildies pay me what they want, but they do pay something, 1 credit is fine from a friend, as long as there's something.

Selfish? Greedy? Yep, I am. And so is almost every other mother in this game, being selfish and greedy is how you survive. Be too generous with some of the fu**s in this game and you'll be the one begging for ticket fare back to Coro.

Peace

No begger ever gets anything from me. In life or in game.

Begging works becasuse these stains on the underwear of life know how to prey on people's good nature, thus providing themselves an unearned income.

I was talking to a noob the other day who was running around diseased and broke in the starter uniform at the saarlac pit. I talked to him for about ten minutes and answered a bunch of questions for him. He never asked me for a thing, just wanted to know a bunch of things about the game.

Ended up giving him a bunch of money and some items, and buffed him free. He was thanking me profusely, which drew the attention of another player, who came over in a full suit of composite armor, guilded, holding a T-21 and asking me for money

He got /addignored

See the difference?
