I checked the vendor and counted up 232 sets of buffs... three different kinds all in travel packs clearly labeled. I responded and told him how to use the "next page" button on the vendor.

I also had a funny conversation the other day, it went like this:

dummy: "Hi can you buff me plz"

me: "No"

dummy: "Why"

me: "Because I don't want to"

dummy: "You're a horrible doctor, the worst I ever met"

me: /addignore

I have my standard buff yell which says my stats, duration, and procedure. One guy comes and gets a buff from me, then proceedes to tell me that my buff sucks (which hit for 2100) and that the stats are too low for me to be charging 12K on Dantooine (this is months ago), I should be charging 10K like they do in Coronet. I tell him that a) I advertised my buff stats ahead of time so if he didnt want them he shouldn't have paid me and he should have gotten a buff from someone else and b) if he wanted a buff for 10K from Coronet and a round trip ticket to Coronet is 2200+ credits then how am I possibly charging too much? If my buff would go for 2K less in Coronet, and it costs more than 2K to go to Coronet as well as the time required, how am I charging too much?

After my well thought out responses and logical statements, he calls me a noob (though I have been playing since during the beta) and begins to flame me. Then he laughs at his own imbicile jokes and after flaming me for a while longer he moved on. Stories like this is what moved me to stop buffing people and make me charge through the nose for buffs now because far too many people are way too rude to docs and should never recieve buffs from anyone.

I once poisoned myself in the middle of combat in my Doc/CM days.

That's what I get for making my own macros to do everyday tasks.. I get confused by the icons.

Not a stupid doc story, but the usual demanding player story:

I'm in the village helping a friend complete his phase 4 quest, so I'm up to my armpits in thugs and outlaws and I get a tell asking for a buff. Between swings of my hammer I reply "I'm no longer a master" and he buzzes off for about 5 minutes until it occurs to him that non-masters can still buff. My force sensitive mind trick failed in this case.

So he asks again and I inform him that I'm obviously a little busy at the moment so it will be 20k and I can only hit for 2100. Apparently I've gravely offended him somehow with this offer and he proceeds to let me know with various WFT?!'s and the like. I say to him "I'm not a buffbot, I'm a swordsman." This fish ends the conversation with something like "Fine. I see how you are. I'll remember this."

And I'm left wondering in what situation could I possibly need the help of a tightwad pistoleer?

(and yes the irony of me proudly proclaiming to be a swordsman while swinging a hammer did not escape my attention. But that's an age-old complaint for a different forum.)

I was doing a Phase 4 quest trying to kill siths. I was fighting a group of 3 or 4, barely holding my own. Someone runs past me and asks if I can buff (I think I had my doc title up, stupid me) I told him I'm kinda busy at the moment. It's kinda hard to buff someone when I have 4 sith around trying to make me deceased.

This guy kept coming back every 30 seconds asking if I could buff him. Each time, dragging along an extra sith with him. Low and behold, somehow the sith's that are chasing him decide to aggro me. I finally had to run or be killed.

Don't remember what happened to the guy. Either ran or got killed. But tell me... what made him think I was gonna buff him after he kept nagging me about buffing and bringing along some unwanted friends in the process???
