I hate to keep bringing this up but it really makes me upset. Crafting in SWG is so in depth. I dont know of any other that offerers it to the degree it curently is. It truely is the thing that cought my attention from the first day I started playing. I thought, WOW!!! thisis the cooliest thing I have ever seen in a game. I can make stuff that other people can actually use. But once I got into it and started to see the possibilites of crafting with alll the different resources I was blown away. I am really sad that SOE feels compeled to simplify it down to the point that we all initially feel it will be. I suppose I could go do AS, Chef or one of the other profesions that might maintain a higher complexity of crafting.Unfortunatly I feelI will loose all that I have worked so hard for in the last 6 months of gameplay, gathering the specific resources for med/cm crafting. 
Truefully there is no skill in crafting. All you have to do is put the best resources together in a big cooker and see what comes out. The real challenge is actually getting those resources. Prior to hearing about the CU changes to meds I would go out everyday to every planet and survey hoping to find a better resource than I currently had. But I guess much of that work for me was for not. I finally got to a point in my crafting where my meds met or exceeded most on Starsider and now it makes no difference.

B. Hold on to them and see what ya get.
One thought is that what you will get will be as valuable if not more so. It is a gamble. It could turn out that the new meds made via conversion of old meds have higher stats than those that can be crafted under the CU. This would make them rare like "pre nerf ubese shirt" or "pre nerf T21's" etc. Also, if you convert enough of them you may not need to by anything from a BE for a very long time.
Of course there is the gamble that what you get will be junk.
C. Convert them to cash before the CU.
The currency is not changing. So money will be money. It would allow you the flexability to buy post CU items that you may want. Jump start you into a new prof or help you buy the new meds you may want. Or help you buy resouces, etc.
Both B and C:
I'm going to hold onto my meds and see if they post a med conversion table telling us what each item will be if converted. I've invested way too much in my meds to destroy them. Hopefully they'll let us breakdown the obsolete ones after the CU, like they did with lightsabers in Pub 9.
But until the CU is live, I've got doc and cm meds for sale on my vendors and will make some small batches of buffs and stims when my stock is low.

not to be mean or rude but this info has been out for probably about a month now, we knew we were goingto lose buffpacks. and in the last2 weeks or so we've found out a lot more detail. so at this point, sorry, you could have known, sell em while you can, mine are still selling.
1 for one have just finished making my last set of meds, and will sell them until the CU... i have my own horde that i'm holding onto, and am still doing custom orders. same ol same olexcept no mass production anymore, if i run outsooni might do it again, but no where near as much as i was.

Well I'm a rather poor doc cause im not a billionare like the majority of em but still, after killing a krayt and an ackley (tanker swordsmen too) i stop by coronet a sell a few sets while i can, that way, i will get back in bank the little 4mil worth of buffpacks i still have in stock and put it on new one or new weapons when the cu is out.
No reason to panic, I'll sell what i can and enjoy the changes with a brand new start.

Marrow, can you try and dig up some conversion info from the Dev's so we can atleast get an idea.

36 million and hours of looting to make 12 point - May be 40 million in resources, all useless?
Little peeved I'm the guy who might just destroys it all. The way things look they gonna make docs as useless as jedi.
They are maybe tired of hearing us whine about avain spawns.

great, i just finished making 300 full sets of 33-34 charge, 934 power, 3.6+ hour packs and now i read about this. Looking like i'll finally get to cancel my account and quit this game for good.

heh, rich doc's. My doc is right there in the poor house. I have alot of assets in cloths and resources but only 3.5 million in actual credits lol.

You're lucky.......I only have 145k in the bank right now..........
I'm doing a combination, when I have time (grinding out Swordsman while it's still relatively easy to do): I've got 10 sets of 947 buffs, I'm planning on buffing out as many as I can to get some credits in the bank before the CU, the rest I'm saving, hopefully they'll be converted into something good.

D. Grind them into FS exp.
Currently a doc on leave can buff a Combatant or SP without delay (all 6 stats in 1 sec). Couple this with the ability of a pet to be called from a tool bar and that a pet looses its buff when stored. The result is the fasted med exp grind in the game. You can cap inless than 30seconds. A great way to use up those less than high end buffs that were made unsellable after the resouce kits came out.
I have not seen any post suggesting that the lack of a delay is not intentional and yes, I have asked. I even /buged it but got no reply. I suspect it is not worth thier time to mess with it regardless if it intended or not. If I find out anything I will let ya know. If anyone knows for sure please let me know.
So, what will you be doing with your meds?
Seeing as I have roughly 1-2k of each component precrafted I doubt I could sell them all before the CURB comes to realization. But I am throwing everything I have on vendors. I've somewhat followed suit to your own rampant discounting of buffs and meds because of this.
I have also been buffing for 3k giving free poison and disease resist buffs to go with it.

I'm making thousands of stim Bs for sale and to horde for after the apocalypse. I'll craft until my subscription runs out, which is about a week, then transfer everything to my last remaining account. Then the plan is to either resubscribe when my Jedi account runs out or just let everything *poof*.
