I don't pay **edit**. I buy premade stuff, and make almost a 500% increase in pure profit. MUAHAHA.

Anything over 25cpu is not worth my time. If exceptional (900+ OQ/DR) avian shows up, instead of paying 50cpu I'd get my PA on it immediately. It's amazing how a few holocrons can persuade a guild to gather 20k herb in one day for you, I think I may they may of harvested 30k in total over the last few months before today.

Keep an eye on the bazaar.. the minute you see good avian meat appearing, grab your PA and go farming.

I've had 12k of 900/700 avian meat last me 4 months so far.

Boy is that ever the truth Soren. I do this with avian and herb meat. My PA keeps me well stocked. One good hunt with enough people and I'm set for quiet awhile.

I would only ever pay 80-100 cpu for avian meat if it was exceptional quality and - this is the important bit - NO LONGER AVAILABLE!

I had some guy try to sell me 3k of avian meat at 80cpu when I knew full well it was still in shift on Talus and all I had to do was go up there and get me some.

SoI did

Master Doctor/Master Heavy Swordsman/Novice Scout - never pay for meat again

We have a bunch of medicos in the guild, so we just organise mass hunting trips and farm herbivore meat over and over, rediculously easy to get thousands of units of the stuff, and depending on how often you buff (I hardly ever buff anyone who isn't in my guild) 3k of avian meat can last you a LONG time - I can make 6k buffing, or 6k running a tortur mission, the second one takes a little longer, but doesn't cost me anything in resources

Avian meat on bria is so rare now that people are paying 100cpu for just average stuff.

I hunt my own. Being a master fencer makes this fairly easy. If I want to make money, I get Perlek missions on Lok. Not a problem.

I've never paid money for avian meat. I do sell it occasionally, and at 10 cr/unit. I know that's cheap, but I still make money. I use a gaffi and chiton to hunt with, so replacing my equipment is dirt cheap.

I'm going back to the selling on the resource market. I'm selling organics at 3cr/unit again. I don't sell crap, either. It may not be the best, depending on the shift, but it is acceptable. At these prices, I can make 20k-30k a day. I figure that I can make about 700k in a month.

In other words, I don't NEED to raise prices at all. I don't care. I'm making money, and lots of it. Meat is free. I harvest my own. Materials are subsidized by my business. Life is easy.

It's a no brainer to pick up novice artisan and novice scout. You save tons of money. Even selling cheap, you make tons of money. Unless you want perfect composite, Krayted weapons, or those rare +25 skill tapes, you really don't have anything demanding that much money.

Yeah, slightly off topic but if you don't have Novice Scout or Artisan (like me), you can use the bazaar, /medicalsuvey, and personal harvestors to find out whats potentially on the galaxy. Sometimes a simple /tip to the bazaar seller can get you inside information.

I will never ever buy resources again. When I was working on Master BE, I got ripped off SOOOOO many times it has left a bad taste in my mouth. I spent nearly 1.4 million credits on enough meat to get me only to master BE, and the ONLY reason I bought it was because I wasn't gonna use my Doc Resources. But never ever again will I buy resources. I just finish a 4 day Roleplaying hunt on Dath, and walked away with nearly 235k of Avian Meat with 997oq 982pe. And I didn't pay for 1 piece of it.

The prices in this game are only going up because of all the little POS Holo Grinders that are unbalancing the Market for those that plan to use if for a long long time. Hmph paying for resource, thats the most worthless thing I have ever heard. Absolutely rediculous prices for crap resources. I'll pay for those resources that require harvesters to get, but no more then 4cpu....if its that rare be especially sure I will have my whole entire guild jump on that.

Hmph paying for resources so that we can heal the people that charge us money for free.....hmph

(Sorry for being so bitter)

I used to pay 25-30cpu for avian and herb but now I have my own PA helping me out so I've reduced it to 15-20cpu and 25cpu for exceptional meat. Holo grinders and those selling krayt pearls/holocrons for over 1 mil each are killing the game economy. Therefore I refuse to pay more then 4cpu for any current resource and 6cpu for older resources that can no longer be harvested. I will pay up to a mil for +5 Medical Experimentation otherwise I'll wait until I find a spawn and loot my own until I find one. Sometimes you just have to do the hunting yourself if you want the job done right, however I can respect that some of us are more into combat then others, and don't have the skill points since they have merchant or scout/artisan.

Looks like we here on the Bloodfin Server are going to be paying 100CPU as a Normal Price for now on. There is this one guy who I guess wants it all for himselfand he is now telling the hunters that he will pay 100cpu for all the good Avian meat coming out of Rori, so naturally all the people hunting for that meat are going to his shop and offering it up only to him, who wouldn't right?

I've been trying to explain it to him on our server board that by doing this it's going to hurt everyone, not only the doctors by forcing them to pay that price for the meat but also the people who are going to need the Buffs because by paying that price for the meat the price of the buffs are also goingto have to go up by double or more just to cover the expenses of the resources.

I know this is a free economy game and anyone can pay whatever they want for anything they want and I certainly can afford to pay these prices if I wanted to, I just feel that it's not right to think about just yourself and say to h e l l with everyone else and do something like this. We on Bloodfin already have the games most screwed up economy, this is just adding to it to make it even worse.

So what do you other docs out there think about this?

It's a free market, and as long as you are matching willing buyers with willing sellers, I don't have a problem with it. In fact, that there is buying and selling going on is an indication of a working economy, not a broken one. At 100 cpu, buying avian meat continues to make sense economically if you are selling enhance packs. You can work out the math for yourself, but I'm in the business of selling enh-D packs on Ahaziand demand for this product is such that it still makes sense for me to buy at 100 cpu for an outstanding spawn. It's pretty clear that the same is true on your server, unless people have stopped buying/selling enhance packs and people have stopped buying/giving buffs.

The bottom line is that this guy wants a lot of avian meat and is willing to pay for it and your not.Even though you have the means to pay for it, according to your post, you're not willing to compete. So you can either buck up and pay 100 cpu, buy your enh packs from someone that does, or get out of the buffing business. In a free market business is competitive, and there are winners and losers, and perhaps this is not the right business for you (if you are a doctor, ur signature says otherwise) if you're unwilling to compete.

Honestly, I think your post amounts to little more than whining. You certainly have demonstrated a certain degree of naivete in that you think this guy has somehow done something wrong or that he's being selfish. Do you cry when people raise you in poker, too?

Some of us move quite a bit more product, if you're not just using that for personal use. Last week I moved approximately 50 complete sets of enhance packs, which use approx 6600 avian meat. It's important for me to have a big stockpile of decent avian so I can keep my inventory current and it's hard to hire enough hunters for less than 25 cpu on my server, even on spawns that drop a good amount of meat.
