Yep, 100 cpu has been the average for a long, long time on Bloodfin.

Hell as a master doctor with hunting 4 half the time I go and harvest for resources just cause it pays so well But you know what, with hunting 4 I can also go out and get my own avian meat and I'm set on buffs. This doesn't limit doctors at all, unless you choose to be limited by it.

I pay time. Lots and lots of time. I refuse to pay these outlandish prices for meat. Sorry, but for 100 cpu, I had better be getting a very rare or perfect resource. None of the avian meat I've seen for sale on my server at this prices fits into either of those categories. When you can get missions for most of these animals, paying those prices is simply absurd. I have donelittle but harvest herbivore and avian meat for the past 3 weeks (thanks to some spectacular spawns), and I've ended up with 55k of avian and 35k of herbivore. And, the game paid me to get most of it. For the rest of it, I was on a computer that could barely handle the game so going out and killing birds for meat was about all I could do anyway. I realize that not everyone has the patience or skill set to do this, but dammit I just refuse to pay the prices that the dupers/'smiths-turned-docs for their Jedis are paying for medical stuff and it's pissing me off that a select few on every server seem to insist on **edit**ing up the economy for the rest of us.

I know this is a free economy game and anyone can pay whatever they want for anything they want and I certainly can afford to pay these prices if I wanted to, I just feel that it's not right to think about just yourself and say to h e l l with everyone else and do something like this. We on Bloodfin already have the games most screwed up economy, this is just adding to it to make it even worse.

So what do you other docs out there think about this?

People are paying 120 to 150k CPU for the stuff thats out on Corellia/Radiant 900+ to PE and OQ now...and thats just buying lol.

on eclipse for high quality good PE your talkin around 30 - 60 cpu

It's not just Avian meat that has stupid crazy prices.. Check out the Bazaar some time and look at the resources.. You'll see page upon page of ANY hide, meat or bone trying to be sold for rediculous prices. When the game started 2cpu was pretty standard on the bazaar for almost any resource. Now, however, even the pure CRAP metals are going for 10-20 CPU. I can only assume they're selling since there are pages and pages of it.. This stuff isn't even something "rare" or specific like Neutronium steel for Armorsmiths/DEs..

On Radiant 2 of the uber docs had a pi**ing contest and drove the price of a certain shift of Avian into the 135-150 cpu range. Radiant had beenpretty stable with only the *REALLY* good avian being 35 cpu but along came a 1000oq shift of Avian on Tatooine of all places. Since the only thing on Tat that drops is are those stupid nunas (and only 4 units at that) various Docs started to offer more and more money for it to entice players to spend hours harvesting nunas for only a 1k stack of meat and its been all downhill from there.

I buy avian for 3-30cpu on Corbantis. Only time it getsany higher is when the uber meat rolls in and the competition for it gets crazy, then it starts to get close to the 50-100cpu range.

On Chilastra people are charging all types of prices from 40cpu to 3000cpu (on the bazaar). I've paid up to 75cpu because I only have enough points for novice scout but if people are gonna charge that much for meat then they are gonna pay more for buffs. I charge 10k and have no problem selling buffs even when another guy is selling for 5 or 6k in the same area. When people tell me its too high a price I tell em how much avian meat sells for. They usually have a change of heart. Actually, the same problem goes for all doc resources. I am not complaining at all. I am just raising my prices as the resource prices continue to go up by the day.

One thing us docs do on Gorath:

We all offer similar prices for avain and herb meat. It has helped keep the price down. We of course get the occational moron who offers 50 CPU for a spawn. He only buys 2 million credits worth, then we buy up the extra at 28 CPU (the highest price I ever paid for meat).

Funny thing, two times in a row this guy offered that price, got all his meat. Then the next shift had better and easier to get meat shifts.

We also charge the same for buffs (10k), and similar prices for stims and buff packs. Know all the main docs and main guilds with docs. Talk to them. When everyone pays 25 CPU...everyone gets some, everyone can afford some.

We have a great network of meat hunters too. Everyone who hunts meat knows the best spawns to harvest every shift, HOURS after it shifts.
