Isnt using a feature of the game, in a way it was NOT intented to be used for personal gain or for gain of another person an exploit?

That sounds right to me. Tumbling does work as intented, but people are using it in a way it was NOT intended to be used.

I used to buff tumblers all day long, One point I was able to clear the med center of them for a week because they knew I came by randomly to ruin tumblers. Then I got a couple Gmails from the CSR's telling me to stop doing it or they will suspend my account.

All my respect for them flew out the window that day. They would rather have people blow through one profession, let alone others (craft grinding), instead of letting players that actually GASP, played the game the way it was intended and try to bring the game back to its intended status.

Sony just doesn't care.

Okay, I'm sorry. That was unnecessarily pissy. But I think you're wrong, Bloodburn, and the CSR's response to your behavior seems to suggest that the developers agree.

Mastering a profession SHOULD take 6 weeks, it should take longer than that actually. People just dont want to spend time in a game that was designed to make you spend time gaining your abilities. People want things NOW NOW NOW, and thats just sad.

I mastered doctor the old fashon way, healing the wounded in the med center, It took me from early august to November. About 4 moths, but it was very satisfying knowing all the hard work I put into it. And just so you know I still sit in the med center and I see TONS of popele with wounds pour in all the time, No need for tumblers. Everyone acts like NO ONE gets wounds. They do, Just yesterday I saw 4 people in my 1 hour of log in time, with full black bars. Dont tell me people dont come in with wounds anymore.

Holocrons are about to dissapear next week anyway, so people will either wait for the jedi quest system or minlessly grind random professions. I expect to see most of the tumblers crawl away soon. Poor guys

I feel bad for tumblers actually, I, and many doctors I know have put tumblers on perma /ignore because of the rediculous "TIP ME FOR TUMBLING" spam they spew. Some put them on ignore just because they tumble. So once they cant tumbler anymore it will be much harder to get any doctor help.

And I never had any respect for anyone that would intentionally ruin someone elses gameplay. The tumblers actions don't interfere with your gameplay in any way yet you would purposely ruin their gameplay.

That is griefing and is totally despicable. Anyone that would intentionally grief others deserves to be banned.

OF COURSE tumbling affects my gameplay. The more people that use tumblers, the more fake "I want doc just to make buff money" doctors are ground out. Thus the more competition I gain. Not to mention they affect OTHER peoples' gameplay as well, People that used to visit the med center to chat and have fun, Don't anymore because they are sick of the tumblers sitting there spamming and no one else helping them out if a REAL doctor isnt there.

Tumblers are ruining my gameplay and other peoples' gameplay. You just dont see it because you think tumbling is the next best thing to sliced bread.

And in turn you ruin other people's gameplay...oh, I forgot, that's ok because it's you

In truth...tumbling is not terrible at all if there were other ways to get real medical XP.

You can't say healing entertainers...they all have quickness buffs.

You can't say healing wounds, everyone has TKA Mediate.

You can't say healing damage, people only hunt when buffed. :/

Mastering a profession SHOULD take 6 weeks

Says who? Not the devs.

People want things NOW NOW NOW, and thats just sad.

It's sad because I'm playing a game, and I don't want it to be work?

Just yesterday I saw 4 people in my 1 hour of log in time

Do you know how long it would take a Novice Medic, healing for 15-20 a heal once a minute, to heal these people? And if a Novice Doc is around, hewill have them fully healed before the Novice even gets their second heal in. And if there are 3 or 4 novices all competing for the heal, then none of them are likely to get much at all.

Holocrons are about to dissapear next week anyway, so people will either wait for the jedi quest system or minlessly grind random professions. I expect to see most of the tumblers crawl away soon. Poor guys

I disagree. I got Doc because I want tobuff myself. And about the only content the game offers is trying different professions. Doc will always be one of the things players want to try. I bet most of the medics using tumblers are Medics doing it because they want to be CMs or Docs, not because the holocron said so.

Some put them on ignore just because they tumble.

Ahhh.. Now here is an appropriate response.

Welcome to the hell that Entertainers have been dealing with for months and months now. Buffbots andmacrotainers, cantina spammers, people are far less social now in cantinas, etc.

The difference is, cantina patrons don't need to ask for healing - they just listen or watch, and get healed automatically no questions asked. Then they run away.

Oh, and don't tell me about competition because people are grinding out your profession - once again, Entertainers have you beat. How many Doctor buffbots do you see around? Not very many, if any. Our professions, however, have AFK people everywhere giving the same services as us away for free. And all those macrotaining idiots in the front room of the cantina in Coronet are the next crop of customer stealers.

Yes, entertainers have it much worse. They need to add code that activates when anyone /startdance or /startmusic's. When that happens, the game checks to see if the mouse has been moved at all in the last minute of gameplay, if not, it disables the "watch/listen" for that person. This way even macros wont work for dancers/musicians because they would need to at least have the mouse cursor move once every minute, maybe every 2 minutes.

But once again sony doesnt care.

What are you? Some sort of grade school hall monitor wannabe?

Now you want to police the dancers? What next? Swordsman can grind their prof in 2 days so limit the XP they get from a kill?

Let people play the game however they play it. If they do something that offends you then put them on ignore (so you don't see the spam) or report them. CSRs let people get away with quite a lot in this game and for you to have received a couple warnings shows what kind of player you are.

I'm glad you feel that it takes 6 months to Master a profession but in reality Polititian might be the only one that qualifies for that kind of timeline. I'm not a hologrinder and only have mastered 5 profs over my time in the game. If any one of them had taken me 6 months, I probably would have moved on to another game by now.

I used tumblers to allow me to play the character I wanted to play. I did heal everyone that came into the med center with big black bars because they needed it and as a bonus for me, it gives more XP and satisfaction then healing a twitcher.

I see you are getting all kinds of support for your personal war you are waging. Since you are too scared of getting banned to continue your 'war' you want other's to pick up the torch and get banned themselves.

I'm just gald you are on Wanderhome. Please don't come to Flurry once you do manage to get banned.

Sounds to me like everyone here that thinks Tumbletostand is an exploit needs to go in game and hit Cont+H and read up on exploits. An exploit is using a bug to gain financial benefit,or grief another player/s in plain talk. Slicing a weapon twice by some KOTOR guy on scylla is making your weapon better than anyone elses using a bug therefor an exploit. Tumbling hurts no one, grieves no one and definetely is not financially beneficial seeing as how it costs several stim packs.
