Chargeup front if thats the way you want to go. It is your money that pays for your account, do what YOU think is right. If anyone **edit** justignore them.

Here is how I work it:

Person send says or sends tell asking for buff or healing services. My response is "read bio" irregardless of who you are or what you are spamming, this keeps it fair. If they are asking for a rezz, obviously I have state my rate structure. Anyway, here is what my bio says:

----------------------

I cannot control the buff amount as it is randomized by the game mechanics, but I use all the resources currently avialable to get it as high as possible. There is currently no way to erase buffs or overwrite buffs other than death.

  • less than 1000 - free of charge

  • 1000 to 2000 - 1000 credits

  • 2000 and above - 2000 credits

Extra Charges:

  • Excessive tells - 5000 credits

  • Travel to location - round trip travel cost and 1 credit per meter traveled rounding to the closest 100m.

  • Kill and Rezz to erase buffs, initail buff charge plus 2000 credits plus new buff charges

Due to the lack of tips while gaining medical exp for medic and doctor, the following charges are in effect for healing:

  • Healing wounds - 1000 credits

  • Onsite Rezzing - round trip travel cost, 2000 credit cloning charge, 1 credit per meter traveled rounding to the closest 100m and 1000 credits for the rezz.

  • Disease, poisonand status effects-1000 credits

-------------------

As you can see, I charge through the nose for some stuff, but clearly state what my rates are. When I am with a group I usually don't charge for any services other than buffing. It cost me a ton of credits to make master doctor and it takes a ton to keep everything stocked. I don't feel the least bit sorry for charging for these services. I also never by the "I'm so poor," speaches lots of players use, go run some missions and then come back.

Anyone who tells you that you shouldnt charge for your skill, tell them they shouldnt charge for anything they do as well. If they make weapons give them away free and so on. I hate people who are cheap and dont feel a value in healers. This ISNT EQ and people who have played EQ and feel this way should just shut up! Tell them we dont have NPC healers so you either pay or you stay damaged.

To be honest I got so tired of this garbage of cheap people I STOPPED wearing my MD tag since I was one of the first Dr's on bria. People ask for healing now, I either tell them I quit Dr or I dont heal people. Unless they say they are paying 10K or more for healing I dont even waste my time. And because of how cheap people were and rude saying Dr's dont deserve to be paid for healing I took my services to the Empire. PVP vets have no problem paying for healing. They understand the value of a Dr. But I think in general people are cheap, and Dancers as well know what I am talking about. People dont pay dancers as well because they dont see the value in it. Sad but true!

If you charge and they get offended look at there title and offer trade. I been a master Doctor from about the first month, prolly the only player who kept his original profesions..hehe. But I charge as well. If they give attetude I tell what to they have to trade for the meds I am using up. I have a large collection of statues, weapons, armour pieces. You have to use material for meds, charge em! Granted there will always be those medics or docs that charge for free, but do what you do.

I'm a Master Doctor and currently leveling Tk at Fort Tuskendue to me dropping Master Gunfighter(got bored of it). I heal people for free there because I like helping people, the only things I charge for are buffs and to cure poision or disease.

Maybe I should charge for healing but in the heat of battle when people are around me about to die I don't have time to say hey, that will be 500 credits for a heal. Also, I just feel wrong about asking for money to heal them, I just heal them to be nice. I'dlike to have the same done for me.

I'm currently working on doc, so I don't worry about buffs. But in the meantime, I have dancer. I usually trade buffs with on of the docs in my guild. But I have noticed that people in the bigger cities, (i.e. Bestine) charge some pretty pricey rates. So I guess it goes all ways. (Though I'm sure I'll cahnge my mind when I have to start really shelling out for things)

IF i am in a cantina healing wounds and BF, ill be nice enough to go outside and /tendwound if anyone ask for free, that way it helps the entertainers also. And yes, i do tip the entertainers, if when i say "who's not AFK" someone responds.
