Um. That is a very very bad idea. Can you imagine everyone would be walking around with 4k to all HAM.

By this standard they wouldnt even have to go to a Master Doc to get buffed. Even the the Novice Docs who can only use enhace b's or such and only hit for 200-400 a stat would still be able to buff themselves and others to 4k by stacking. Not only that but this opens up the Doctor profession for nearly everyone to dabble in. All they would have to get is the minimum to buff and they are just as golden as the masters. This is what happened with the CH professions and now look at it.. Well something needs to be done I agree. now with the servers crashing daily and people having to die to get a re-buff. we need something like a accelerator that will speed up the length of a buff.

I remember ninja-buffing around Tyrena because back then if I shouted "Free Buffs!" people would have no clue what the hell I meant. It wasn't until a number of months that the general populace found out that Doctors had the capability to buff. (Can you imagine that, you could put up your "Master Doctor" title and not be innudated with tells!) So I went around with my little med droid and started handing out random buffs at the mission terms.

I'd never do that now though because there actually are Master Docs running around selling buffs, and consent for buffing does make a lot of sense considering that you need consent just to rez them.

did you read what you quoted from me? a cap? did you miss that part? maybe something like novice doc gets500 cap. then at some point, a 1000 cap. master gets a 3k cap. something like that.

I know people do this, but to be honest, why?

It's much easier to just buff your non CH pet, if this is really how you want to get your XP, store/call and buff again. No risk of getting TEF'd (for non nuetral Docs), and no angry tells from the people who just got a Dancer/Musician set of buffs that are now useless to them, since they will need a death to get rid of your crappy buffs to get ones they did want.

Doing driveby buffs is very wrong, and considering there is a simple alternative, buffing your own pet, why drag the name of Doc down by this behavior?

We really need an enhancement that allows players to give a Doctor consent before s/he can buff. Or, the Doctor must be a member of the player's group.

I'm a 1 2 0 1 doc, and the first thing I thought when I trained thatone Craftng box and made an action enhance was "wow, this action enhance really sux!". The secnod thing I thought was "wow, you could really grief people by buffing their stats for 70 points, since itlasts for30 minutes."

I think consent is the best method; and you still wouldn't know how much you were getting, so you'd have to trust your doctor when it asks for consent.

Sorry but I think you need to check your own post. You did not mention anything about caps for certain levels of the profession until now. And its still a bad idea it takes away from crafting skill and good resource gathering, in fact you could still reach the max with the cheapest pack you can make.

either that or you cannot buff someone unless they are in your group
