strange. I charge 12K for a set, no exceptions. I use 835-860 packs, with 192 injury/wound treatment. It cut down alot on the mass tells i get on corellia and naboo. I still make the same money as you guys who charge 5-7 K, and i get to actually play the game instead of camping a starport. So many people complain, but the few who really need the buff, or are on a distant planet, will pay. Those few make me the same money as the rest of you. And like i said, it frees up more time to explore more aspects of the game.

We pay a monthly fee to play this game guys, our time in game is litterally worth money. Its a shame when i see that guy sitting at a starport with a line of 5 people waiting for buffs at 5K a pop. Especially when i know those guys who complain are gonna do a mission run on dantooine in 10 min and get 30-55K.

I saw this the other day, where a bunch of guys we're hassling a doc on Dathomir they wanted a sample buff before paying.

As a soon to be MBH when I was grinding weapons, I worked out buff vs non-buff numbers. Without buffs I could soloabout6 giant biznatch missions on Dath for 8K each in ahour. With buffs that numbered jumped toabout nine. So with a two hour buff that meant a extra 6*8 = 48k. I made. Not to mention all the additional XP.

So really, if you were charging 20K it would still be a bargain. Once I finish MBH I intend to do Master Doc (want a change of pace). So I'll get to see the whining first hand.

Take care,

I chare 8k for buffs on Tempest, but I also offer a 5k refund if health or action falls below 1200. I have been doing this for quite sometime and have only had 1 complaint (n00b).

I have a regular base of customers that are always more than happy to come to me...even if I'm in the middle of Yavin checking harvesters.

BTW...only 10% of the time do my buffs ever hit that nasty below 1200 mark, and being the professional that I am I believe they deserve a price cut then.

Nope, I understood it. I buff others for a flat 10k as of right now, and don't negotiate down. I was just commenting on your statement by replying with something that might be useful for you to know. Why wear 150k (or however much you paid) of BE clothing around when only one +25 piece can give you the max benefit?

I also use the prices below, I get at least 5 tells within5 minutes ofentering a major town without hawkingand people who complain even though I tell them the price up front and ask them to agree before I buff them.

I had one guy call me a n00b and bad mouth me for 20 minutes outside Coronet starport despite him asking me to buff him (I was speaking with a friend and not hawking) and me telling him what my prices where upfront - this really pisses me off, I have better things to do with my time then try to juggle 5-10 tells and justify myself to people, why do some people not realise that if they don't like the price they don't have to buy.

hhmmm well i bought a factory crates of 5 packs at 900plus base. total 30 packs each at 60000.

total cost to me 360000. 28 uses each. i charge 6k no discounts avg 1400-3000 bufs

after to pcks of complete buffs are done 56 full buffs at 6k equals 336k .

3 remaining sets 84 buffs equals 504000. total profit roughly 480k. i dont understand how this isnt a good profit for you guys. i wont be raising my prices and even offer free buffs if i am in the mood

/sigh

Buying packs from someone else is a totally different matter COMPLETELY. A fleet of BER13 Heavy harvesters cost about 1.2 million credits+. Then there is *time* to survey for the resources, test each resource for the "best" as well asthe traveling cost, not even mentioning the time sink of waiting 9 mins if you just missed the shuttle. Then there is buying/finding/harvesting the "best" avian meat and Herbivore meat. Currently there is a shift of Avian meat, that IMO is only 'decent,' that is selling for 70 CPU. Once we actually had 1000 OQ Avian meat on Radiant, but they only dropped off Nunas (what a pain, 4-6 units per kill) and that went for around 65 CPU. Trying to find something like that in stacks large enough to run through a factory or even make more than a few packs by hand was nearly impossible.

I will make *no* apology about how I value my time in the game. If I want to buff for free, I will. If I want to be on my way and you're persistant I'll ask 10-15k. I play the game for my own amusement, not to placate the combat monkeys who make 100k+ an hour and then scoff at 10k for 3 hour buffs. In fact, I *lose* money talking to these same combat monkeys trying to explain about buff ingredients, CPU, buff variance, etc. I could very easily be MAKING money on the same missions they'll likely be running with my buffs.

My advice: don't care one bit if they whine about you raising your price a *whole* 1k. That's like half of a one way ticket to an advanced planet. If they still can't comprehend it then point them to the local Bazaar and tell them that pure CRAP resources are selling on average of 6 CPU, double of what they used to be.

We've healed you for free, we've tended your wounds for free. All we ask is a little something in return to help cover our costs and recoup just a fraction of what we've spent to master our profession by charging for buffs--something YOU get much more benefit then we do. We're Master Doctors, we don't NEED the experience anymore. If that is so hard to do and comprehend then don't be suprised when Master Doctors don't want to be found. Fine, try running your 10-20k credit missions on no buffs I'll be happily running with my friends, all fully buffed and tearing through the same missions. (When that happens andyou pester me about buffs at that time I'll be more than happy to tell you ONCE and ONCE only that my prices will be 20k or more)

Uh, so WE don't want it, and YOU don't want it in for PvP--then why is it still there??

What I'm honestly confused over is that everything else in the game has went up in price yet Doctors are the ones getting flamed over raising prices by 1-2k? When missions paid 2x as much well made scout blasters were 5-10k, now they're regularly 12k+ for only 'ok' ones with the 'best' ones 25-35k. People charge 120k+ for BER13 Harvestors and 80-100k for BER10s. Peopleown PA Halls for their personal house (and not just a few, but quite a few). Before the Holocrap craze resources were stabalized at 3 CPU on the bazaar (stacks of 1000 units for 3000 credits), on Radiant you regularly see stacks of 500-700 units for 3000 CPU and only rarely see 1000 units for 3000 credits.

Yet Doctors, already one of the more poor classes, are getting hassled by such a minor price increase? We're much like Artisan classes in that we lose money while leveling up. On all the hunting trips I made out to the Krayt graveyard I was never tipped and I never made any tips or even looted any money off of anything. My meds weren't free, my revive packs weren't free, yes I got experience, so did the combat monkeys--they also got Krayt tissues, pearls, etc I was too busy keeping their a**es alive to loot ninja anything. The difference between Doctors and Artisans, however, is that people seem to have no problem with artisanscharging (and charging well) for Master level Items and the Docs get flamed?

personally I feel anything below 10k is unjust Buffs from a good doctor like jolie she can buff for 2.5-3 with ease. and I paid 6k. I think these buffs should get more respect, that or charge 1 or 2 credits per point of the buff. You get to see howmuch it was so you can charge and exact amount.

Also docs you should remember that if we all worked to gether and raised the prices of buffs then I know people would still pay just because they are that well liked
