You're relatively new to the game from ur forum date, unless this is an alt.
BUT for the most part the majority of the creatures in game now are exactly the same as they were before buffs became the standard. Rancors were no harder than they are now, its just that with buffs/armor you can spam specials
When i first started playing you couldnt spam specials. and it was hard to take down more than 2 rancors with a group smaller than 8 without at least 1 person dieing. you MIGHT laugh at this, but its true. a Doctor was required in almost ever group on dathomir to keep the group alive. No one could wear full composite because their hams were to low so full armor was rare to come by. So what you would see is 8 people going out, 1 dr, 1-2 masters and a bunch of novices killing rancors because a master tag was VERY rare when i started. This was before anyone KNEW that proffessions would get you a Jedi.
That being said, i doubt they would 'tone' down creatures. Maybe super battle droids, and high end mobs such as nyax or people on the corvette, but probably not even them because they are supposed to be IMPOSSIBLE to kill without a LARGE group. You will just see forced groups again, which isnt nesesarily a bad thing either.
IMO the thing that ruined this game was being able to pull a bike without a camp, not buffs, not armor. Without novice scout you couldnt pull a bike, therefore a scout would be required in a group to head back when done.....
glad i wasnt really around long before bikes were invented lol

Currently there is no way for me to pick up novice scout to harvest resources so any I get atm is pity from my guild. (I have about 2700 avian meat) I hope buffs don't get nerfed before I can create my first 850+ pack! Im sick of even looking at the forums because I end up seeing a bidding war for meat getting high in the creds!(Your inthemmany times:smileytongue
I'm desperate now and trying to muster any resources I can get to create my first packs. I don't think i'll be able to lay down 300+cpu for meat anytime soon so I'm going to have to wait and see. I love being a doc crafter also eventhough im limited to rez kits atm
Hopefully one of these days i'll be in the ranks for the best packs on this surver! ![]()
P.S. Aren't we do a class four spawn of petrol fuel soon?
you have me all wrong.mypoint is, there is content designed for you to be buffed. they would have to tone that content down without buffs. content meant for groups of elite combat professions, are still meant for those ppl to have buffs and be armored. who the hell could wear decent armor without it anyway? you better have some good slicing. im not saying its impossible but it would be 100% needed without buffs. and then wearing that armor and using any special you would just be killing yourself, yet without it you would die probably from one hit fighting the things that are meant for buffs.a group of 20 ppl being killed from one hit is not fun gameplay. on top of that leveling will be slow. not everyone has the time to level at such a rate and not everyone can find someone to group with to level . some people play whenever they can and that "whenever time" can come at hours where fewer people are availablefor them to group with. without buffs, those ppl would be severely, and needlessly, punished in their leveling. they already dont have enough playtime then on their playtime they cant kill anything. how long would they continue to play?
