I strongly reccomend hiring newbies with scout to harvest for you as Dwarf Nunas are it.

Afraid Nunas are the only creatures known to drop Avian on Tatooine. Most doctors don't even bother getting it, seeing how high the prices always get. Heard from a Doc on Chimaera that standard price was at 250 cpu at the moment...
Might be an idea to list your server, or did I miss that?

, but uf nuna's are the only option on tat.

Get as many people in your group as possible and load low delay ranged weapons. Walk shoulder to shoulder in a line of Nuna Death. If you get enough people pooling the reduced group Harvests from a Nuna you could scam up some at least functional amounts of meat. 4 units of meat stinks, but if 10 people harvest each Nuna...well, it still isn't Rancor, but you'll get some useable numbers.

Thank the Lord our good spawn of avian is on Lok and I have enough of it to make it through a "nuna price gouge".

Currently on Infinity the new Tatooine avian meat is:
OQ 954
PE 868
Decay704
I posted on the galaxie trade forum for a price check and indicated I would gather 10K of the meat.
One person offered 200 cpu for stacks of at least 5K and that person was taken to task to have offered more than 100cpu due to the fact that high meat prices keep new doctors from the profession. I personaly see no incentive to gathering tatooine avian meat at even 250cpu considering howtime intensiveit is to gather.
What is a fair price for this meat in your opinion, I realize that prices vary from server to server, but people seem to have no problem to pay millions for CA's and AA's on any server.

Interesting reason tehy give for price fixing. Most of the serious docs/chefs are worth well over 100 million. Very few rangers are...
There is no such thing a fair price. In your case, the buyers are trying to fix a price bsed on what suits them. Same thing happening on Chimaera with Tatooine Herbivore. My approach is to do provate deals where a doctor can get the materials he wants without the collective wrath of the trade forum descending on him/her.

No one can even remember that last time there was even decent avian on Radiant. If we got in a rotation with that kind of stat, I know for a fact it would go for at least 300. We just had a rotation of herbie that wasn't all that but was getting snapped up quick. Worse comes to worse and you can't get your price, stack it and store it. If I had a chunk of avian from a year ago I didn't think I would need I'd have enough to by a clothing attachment or even a blue rug.
Don't let 'em take advantage.

hm i wouldnt feel bad at all getting 300cpu. it a giant pain in the ass getting tat avian. to anyone who complains i say this..that i charge what the docs offer me. if some barker in coronet is shouting about 300cpu, ill sell to him, sure. if i'm feeling charitable, ill seek out some rebel doc and give a discount. usually, most of my harvests go to my guild at no charge. *shrug* basically...whatever people are willing to pay is what i sell for.

I've collect Tat Avian Meat for an order once. Only had to collect 2200 units of it. NEVER again. I hate dwarf nunas...

I've never disagreed with your pricing (both charged for finished products, and paid for harvested organics) on TC, and I'm not about to start here, when discussing a Live server.
tat avian is no fun. the last time I checked Live economies (eight or more months ago) I was getting 50cpu for dath insect... which is easy to stack... for PETSTIMS...
everything I've heard since then leads me to believe that anything less than 500cpu is pretty much fair game (depending on how far out of control the local server economy has gotten), and the stats and tedium involved in that spawn of tat avian ought to justify 200cpu easily.
of course, if that's out of line, I stick to basic advice:
make your friends do the job for free
pay another $15/month for a harvesting toon
don't buy it
if those options are unpalatable, then there's not much that can be done. I'd wager that a combat toon could clear 200k running destroy missions faster than a harvester could pull 1k of tat avian (or talus, for that matter)... and even a novice artisan can make 60k/hour running survey missions, if creds are such a gate to 'starting doctors' or whoever.

price should be 150cpu cos the only avian meat comes from them saggy DWARF NUNAs.
Any one wanna get a ranger/scout hunting party going for avian meat ? we can split the creds equily
and make some of the Docs VERY happy, yet very poor indeed due to PRICE fixing
.
*EDIT*
hows about a load of us rangers get a party going and gather as much as we can then auction the lot on infinity trade forums with a lovely resrve bid to make us all VERY rich rangers. thats make this skill pay off for us BIG TIME

Some time back Tarquinas got a good run of Tat avian. Initial offering on the trade forums was 200cpu... nah, wasn't worth my time, especially when Yavin carn was going for 150cpu and much easier to collect. Then Tat avian went to 250... then 300... still not for me...
350... 400... 450cpu.. ok.. 450? One nuna with veghash in my system equals 4,000cr? yeah, that was worth it... barely. It really was a drag to be quite honest. Felt sort of like I was prostituting myself but hey, it did pay out well. On the upside my four year old likes sitting on my lap while I play.. he really liked "hit tab, press ~ key, press "1", then press the harvesting macro key" while I did other stuff. He collected about a thousand units of the stuff for me that way
probably against child labor laws, but consider him a young Ranger ;-)
