I used to be pistoleer, it was fine ok in PvE against humanoids, that's about it. Pointless in PvP and any melee profession will do better in PvE 90% of the time.

I still think that melee professions in PvP are a bit of a waste when in large groups as you just can't use them if you play your doc role as you should but /shrug.
