Does it matter if I use a 10% or a 40% one (Personal Food and Chemical Crafting Station)?

It just effects success rate of the experimentation. At least we think it does. Some tests have indicated that the rating of the station and the tool have no effect. Just to be safe, I would use the highest rated tool and highest rated station you can find.

This is an excellent analysis, Happymob. Thanks for sharing it with us. On a much smaller scale (and a much less scientific one) I had a basic understanding of this, comparing buffs I made with average avain meat to buffs made with high-quality avain meat. But I did indeed wonder what the exact difference would be.
