Personally I can't take the monotony of healing repetitively, thats why I always went sharnaff hunting with new players who have no defences and required lots of healing. If i had buffed their primary stats I would have grinded doc a lot faster even using medpack A's.
I'm not sure what would be the solution with the combat balance coming whenever it is, possibly increased xp for wounds over damage, after all the doc is a specialist in wound treatment.
Good debate people
I love the forums when it's quiet at work, but it's time to go home soon.
So a final message to afk healers at the med centres, if you see a player with bad wounds try helping them out, they prolly ran the corvette or DWB , picked up 20 million credits worth of loot and will shower riches on you if you heal them.
Well, maybe not, but it's nice to help someone who needsit rather than people who are effectively running on the spot for tips

Ok so we don't want Buff lines running circles through all the floors of a med center hmmm. How about.....
1. Change Buffing to a Skill like"Stats Enhancement' rather then "WoundTreatment" where "Stat Enhancement" builds up only at the Doctor Level.
2. Wound Treatment can then be provided a Slight XP Benefit when done only in a Med Center.

good point but I think the novice docs deserve something formaking and usingenhance A B and C's besides crafting points.

Remember on Dathomir when people used to shout " looking for medic to join ER group"?
I couldn't shoot my carbine for more than 300 pts of damage but I always felt like I was helping out the group

If such a change happened however. Present Doctors would be quite upset having to get new +25 BE clothes for a new Skill.

Hehe I was at Ft. Tusken yesterday. I'm 4434 CM and master Doctor with Rifles III for marksman. I didn't have any poisons and was shooting at them with a DLT20a. I had alot of fun trying to put a dent in theirHams With my uber Rifle till someone came along and decided ease my suffering of taking 20 minutes to kill a commoner. Although it was fun running like mad from the warlords. (my armor went to 0 and didn't notice it till it was almost too late)

Basically I thought I'd drag this worn out point to the forums. I have no greathatred of healing tumblers but I do hate tumblers and novice docs in med centres.
My non-doc toon keeps walking into Coronet med to findmedics all ignoring wounds and healing tumble-monkeys instead. So all players after med xp are healing players who inflict damage on themselves and players with real wounds are suffering. Why are these people in the Med in the first place? My doc toon should give them a stamina and quickness buff when my mouse accidentallyslips onmy toolbarto stop them hurting themselves.
Fixes may be on the way but it never fails to amaze me why I only have 15 points for novice medic, yet it's my combat toon that heals the 6 or 7 poor souls who need wounds healing and I don't even need the xp. I see more of this every time I go into a med centre, with lots of novice medics doing the work of the docs because they can't believe the rude responses of some tumble healers when they point out that it would be nice to have a little help (some do stop healing tumblers and heal wounds but we're talking a very small percentage here). Do they even have woundpacks???
We need more incentive for medics to get back to the med centre and less incentive to patch up a bunch of wrist-slashers I'm sick of it

i use tumblers and i tip them well, but i also stop to heal any one with wounds when they walk in to med center. one time i guy asked for some heals and know one responded and i had no wound packs, so i told him to wait and i went to bazaar to buy some wound packs and healed him. he was grateful and paid me well.

My own contrarian take on people with wounds being ignored in med centers is that macro craftingshares some of the blame.
Because all you do is burn through crafting, and a lot of doc/medic grinders are low on credits, most up and coming docs never take the time to craftwound packs.
I think a lot of the novices healing AFK tumblers would be happy to take the time to heal real wounds. Real wounds are just ignored because none of the AFK healers have anything but stim packs on them.
Maybe instead of secondary buffing the tumblers, you should hand out wound packs to the healers so they're equipped to heal wounds when someone comes in.

I started playing before tumblers, there were docs in the med center all the time and they were healing people. You could always count on being able to go into a med center after doing missions and find someone there. In the busier cities there were usually more people to heal than docs....of course this was before player cities so everyone would come back to the towns to get healed.
I remember it as being a better time, when people did professions because they wanted to and not because a blue cube told them to.

I just don't see why tumbling is such a problem. Just about the only way to get any decent xp without having to die 50 gazillion times out with a group of people who (most of them) run from medics in combat anyway. One thing I have noticed for last summer is that there are actually medics in the medic center, tumblers or no they are there. Perhaps if you guys who come into the center from a set of missions that got you 100k in the last hour would tip like 10k or so, that may start getting you what you want. Better xp for healing wounds would also add benefit and if it were enough xp you would see tumblers go away. Another thing I see is the fact that allot of posts seem like medics have to heal you or else. Taking away tumblers is not going to help, or make medics heal damaged players. That is a choice a player makes when he/she plays a medic profession. more than likely you will see allot less medics after the patch because tumblers will be gone. Before the Image Designer patch and Chef patch, how many saw more that 2 or 3 of those professions running arround? Just the opposite will happen when healing players will become more frequent and more costly that the medic professions will just not be worth it.
The whole point is a. Tip better than the majority tips for healing wounds and b. make xp for healing wounds higher every heal. Then tumblers would not be needed.
