Rugs, here's my solution:

Switch between them. I will pick up novice artisan, survey for what I need, etc. When I need to get some meat, I drop artisan and pick up scout. If I find some really good meat, then I'll call in some rangers to get a lot of it Then I go back to artisan. It only costs 100 creds, hehe
