Yeah, our magic healing spells should take from mana... sorry, mind.

I must have missed this....regardless what you call it...if healing is going to take Action and Mind...then so does attacking. There is no reason we have to get the short end of the stick when it comes to AM costs.

I would not get too bent on the fact that at brawler one prof does not match another. The elite prof will open up soon enough and you will get to see more impactive differences. Lets face it, these levels are just speed bumps to greater things.

In live, for example, I could use my 880 @2.3 pike at 0003 brawler and out damage any non-pike brawler. This never happens since no one fights at this level for very long.

Yeah, I'm don't really care about Pikeman much yet, even though thatseemed to bemy main complaint (sorry about that).

What concerns me is that Healing takes Action and Mind while attacks only take Actions. Not only that, but Healing takes about 19% actions and about 5% mind where as Attacking takes about 5% actions and 0% mind. And to add on to that....creatures do about 3x the damage to us (or me) currently.

As a 4/4/4/0 medic I should be able to heal 3 times (or roughly 1200 health) every 15s....but because I have only one heal I have to wait 15s to heal roughly 400ish....

How are we suppose to test the novice professions if they are broken, /bugged, and known issues???

That was the original intend of my post, and sorry that I got caught up in the pikeman issues on the doctor forum.

I have started a Med bug thread in the CU test forums. The more places they can see the buggs the better.

I am kinda glad that medic healing is not so great. It will mean that improvements as you go up the doc trees will be more noticable and more rewarding. In my view medic should only allow a very modest amount of healing. The key thingMedic does is allow one to heal another.

Yeah, but why does it have to take so much Action and Mind? And how come Bacta throw and Spray don't work?

The strength of healing in Medic is perfect...and the timer is good...I just can't understand why none of the combat attacks take from mind and action like Healing does.

You're probably experiencing this because you're not playing your role (Medic) properly... which would be: "group, don't attack, only heal... and hope that the members of your group pay enough attention to get the aggros off of you"

... at least, that'show it sounds like the Devs want "the healing professions" to play.

Well correct...last night I wasn't grouped...I was testing the Solo Medical XP. And your exactly right, if your not attacking you can keep up fairly well in a group of people that know how to play. But that still doesn't explain why does healing take from Action and Mind and attacks only take from action? I know if I'm gonna punch someone I'm gonna think about it before I do so...which would take mind.

Actually, a full time healer will run out of action even faster.. so it becomes more of an issue... so CHicken's observation is actually worse for a full time healer.

Exactly, from my tests, you can only heal about 15-20 times (with all 3 heals actually working )before you start to choke...leaving you defenseless and unable to heal.

...which is probably why you'll probably want to bring alongEnhancers, Spices and Food.

it's that whole "interdependency" thing, I guess.

Well thats also besides the point.....its a valid point, but...Why is our profession the only one that requires both mind and action while *currently* none of the others do....thats ultimately the point.
