Thread: My First Complaint About My Prices

Sometimes you see 15K for a PvP buff on bloodfin .. normally its 10-12k and all docs stick to it.
Bloodfin is probably the most expensive server around I don't understand why you guys would charge up to 50k and anyone would pay for that ..
False. I'm on Corbantis. And rarely do you see 10-12k buffs anymore. And when you do they are really crappy. Like last night, I was buffing in the Coronet Starport for 16k. There was one other guy there and he was buffing for 10k but hisbuffs were only 1900 and for 2 hours. So when it comes to buffs, Bloodfin obviously is different than Corbantis. Also, it is foolish to compare buff prices across servers becasue one server may have had worse resources or may not have had good avian for a while or something.

I've been Master Doc for about 48 hours now and just recieved my first complaint. At about 2am (pacific time) I sat down in the Coronet Starport and started selling buffs. On Corbantis, docs aren't easy to come by this time of night so I figured since I'm up usually, that's a good time to buff people. I was charging 18k (15k for imps) for 2200-2300 buffs that lasted just under 3 hrs. Now, this is a bit overpriced, and this price would never fly during peak hours, but, I was the only doc around, and lots of people needed buffs. Then of course I get the one guy that starts whining about the price after about 20 people have paid me. I actually found it rather amusing. No one even responded to him. But I would have been calling him a moron even before I became a doc. Unlike most non-docs, I never really cared about the price of buffs. (The main reason I got doc was that I just got tired of waiting for them.) I always just figured, as long as they're 30k or less, one Dantooine mission pays for them, so who cares. I guess that logic is lost on some people....
haha, I don't buff the public anymore but sometimes people will bother u for buffs because they saw my meds or heard about me. So this guy had the follow conversation with me.
guy: Hey can you buff me?
Me: I don't really buff in coronet or anywhere that might start a line an d slow me from enjoying the game
guy: Please I'll pay whatever.
Me: okay 20k
guy: dude that is expensive.
Me: cool you don't have to buy
guy: stop being an as$, how about 8k
(I'm annouyed by the as$ comment at this time)
Me: 30k
guy: are you a retard
me: 40k
guy: alright you don't have to be a jew about it
me: 60k
(guy tips me 60k, and I buff him)
I said t once and I'll say it again, it's all about suply and demand.

lol classic
How do you guys handle it when it gets really busy? I went to Coronet to do a bit of buffing as I had gotten low on cash. As it turned out I was the first doc to arrive there for over half an hour and there were dozens of addicts all climbing up the walls for their fix. Anyway, I duly obliged and very soon had a rolling queue of 15 people. Only having been a doc for a week or so this was a new experience for me and I found it a bit hectic. Most people were cool about the length of time they had to wait as I kept people informed of the situation, but the problem came with the hundreds of "dude stats price OMFGWTFLOL!!1!!1111!!" tells I was receiving and one particular idiot standing in front of me spamming that I 'must be dumb' cos I hadn't answered or buffed him.
I don't really want to hike my prices to cos it's not for me, but should I just try and cope with it and remember the /addignore command, or do you guys have some useful 'tricks of the trade' you could pass on to make life easier in times like that?
