I've been getting reports that recently (not sure how recently) the components for limited use schematics have been dropping without serial numbers (and that serialed components aren't dropping at all). This is nooooo good. So please tell me...
1) What unserialed components you've looted (or someone else has looted) recently.
2) Have you (or someone else) looted components with serial numbers recently.
NOTE: not sure what "recently" means here. If something was "broken" it was in either patch 8 (droid patch) or in the minipublish 8.1 (ID patch), so focus around those dates.
Hopefully it's just a fluke that a few people are experiencing, so please answer even if you're not having a problem.

i bought 4 leathers janta hides and acklay hides today, all had serial numbers, could have been looted ages ago tho didnt ask, nothing ive seen was missing a serial number.... so far

Yesterday on Chimaera I noticed a bunch of 6 of them on the bazaar. Not sure when they were looted but larger batches don't stay on the bazaar for long so it was probably recently.

I looted a single leather off of a borvo last night with NO serial number. I've also looted another single in the past..like over a month ago without a serial number. I've never looted two or more without serials though.
I haven't looted multiples lately, though.

Up until 8.1 everything I looted had serial numbers. Today I got 13 clasps, 7 leathers, and 11 NS armor shards without serials.

Oh... this is proving interesting... please please continue gathering data and it will be passed along first thing Monday (devs are sleeping off E3 hangovers this weekend).

I would have to ask my friend to check the stuff in his vendor storage. I hunt for clasps and leathers almost every night and offer them to his vendor. It was only last night that I noticed the missing serials but I dont usually check so it may have occured on earlier hunts as well.

I went out to hunt again tonight but I didnt get a single leather or clasp drop. Were the drops nerfed because of this bug? Its the first time I didnt get a single leather or clasp drop from a hunt.

Not that it really matters to the Devs, it should however show the people who pay-to-play how little the Dev team cares that we pay their salary. The 11 pieces of HD leather that I got from 1 mob now have 5 different f'n serial #'s the devs dont give a damn if they screw me over as long as they get their serial #'s before someone makes a 1000 use schematic for a docs apron that will use any piece of HD leather. Ask whoever that WS was that was making god guns from -.3 spd 30 min/max dmg tissues because he had a schematic from a non serial legendary krayt tissue and selling them for 20-30 million...

Yeah I talked to my friend and he said that the non-serialed leathers I put on his vendor had serials the next morning. He didnt mention how many serials they had but there should have only been 3 different serials from the 16 I gave him. Throwing random serials on them is pretty messed up. If the devs have no way of telling they should at least give the player the benefit of havingat least a 10stack of loot instead of alot of little stacks since it is their mistake to begin with. Would it really hurt the economy if some people put out up to10 use schems?

3 heavy duty clasps with matching serial numbers. Looted from a Tusken in the Krayt Graveyard area(probably at the static sandcrawler West of the canyon)on Chilastra, Saturday, 5/15, between midnight &3 AM.

I don't think it would hurt Duckfat I think it would be "work" for the devs to have any kind of consideration. I know Normusan. I know he wouldn't use the things like the greed mongers would, the devs don't see it like that. They see it and automatically assume that everyone is out to exploit. Too bad they don't think before they act...I guess that's why so many people are leaving and have left this game. I'm not going anywhere but it makes me consider every payment to SOE a little more than I did the month before.
