Ok folks i am going to start a rant.

I see a problem for the third time in three days one of my alt characters was in need of healing. Figure that Cornet is the hub of travel that the medics and docs there would heal your wounds, you think. not the case i was sitting in the med center for about 15 minutes continually spaming"I need wounds healed" no Healing. Why you ask All the medics are healing tumblers most likely afk. I am sick and tiered of having to go from planet to planet trying to get my wounds healed and finding that all the medics and docs are onlyu healing damage. funny thing is that healing wounds is beter xp then healing tumblers. Folks you can heal tumblers any place why use the med centers? Oh and fo all yu tumblers out there do some real adventuring for money.

thats been a problem for quite some time im afraid.

i find it very annoying as well. the combat spam, the afk-healing, the disregard for the true patients.

tumbling is supposed to be changed soon, but when noone has any idea, till then fraid you will have to put up with it continuing.

Tumbling is the only way to gain large amounts of Medical XP in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks to the popularity of buffs (who only a few people I know hunt without, myself included) and the Meditate line of Teräs Käsi, fewer and fewer people are taking on wounds that will give any amount of xp worth the resources it takes to create the stimpacks for. Tumblers are really the only path to going up Medic, and going up Doctor is only made slightly easier by the Buffs at Doc Crafting 1, since no one will buy buffs from a novice and it's expensive to grind buffs out on your pet. Healing Entertainers in Cantinas used to be a viable method, but not most Entertainers have mitigated their stats so that there's no xp in it anymore, and those that haven't always seem to be camped by 24-hour grinders.

It'd be nice for more people to be wounded severely, so I could get doctor XP without having to 'grind' it from Tumblers, but that doesn't happen anymore. /nostalgic_sigh

PS: Whenever someone does come in with wounds, I'll stop healing tumblers and get to them as soon as I can. So does every other medic and doctor I've really seen, but people are too impatient to just sit and wait for the few that do trickle in to the Coronet med center every couple of hours.

You need to got to a TAVERN (or player cantina) for wound healing.

Most people have 5 or 6 points of wound damge.... this offers no xp, costs us money to make wound packs, and people will not tip for this service.... as a result: No one will touch it.

Also, as a Doc you would need to carry: Stims out(plus one crated), rez kits out (plus one crated), SIX buff sets (out), SIX buff sets (crated), dizzy cure (1 out/1 crated), blind 1/1, posion 1/1, disease 1/1.....

Now you with all that inventory room taken up, you ALSO want us to carry all six types of wound packs AND the crated ones?

Get real..... you need to go to a cantina..... there we can "TEND WOUNDS" avoiding the need for med packs, and watch/listen to heal the mind wounds.

Get Nov. Medic and go to a tavern and tend wound yourself, or just wait at a Tavern for a medic.

I don't even carry wound packs.... can't afford the space.

That's utter nonsense. While tumbling might be the only path to grind medic, it's not the only path to earn medic. I earned it back in the first month. Medic is extremely easy to earn by playing the game. Get a group, especially a group of new players, and go out unbuffed on missions. You will get money and lots of experience healing people.

It's the grinding that's killing everything, and the mentality that it fosters.

Actually i do carry them since i am a full time medic that is waht packs are for. Also there is another way other then tumbling to get xp which i did mastered medic and doc in 1 week and that is to go to camped areas and hang around the starport with a droid and heal wounds.

The game has changed slightly in the last 12 months, mate. I don't fancy sitting around for hours waiting for someone to come to the med center to get healed then have half the wounds healed by someone else who's ALSO buffing tumblers. It's a boring thing to do sitting around.

I do, though, carry a selection of wound packs on me most of the time. I usually just make them one at a time as needed, and keep the resources in my backpack.

You need to blame SOE basically. When they make XP too low for ordinary game-play and don't do anything about tumbling, pet-tricks, etc., people simply need to use those exploit-like techniques.

SOE needs to do two things in this case:

1) Increase the XP gained from buffing, healing damage/wounds, curing diseases, etc.

2) Prevent people from gaining XP fast on tumblers. (May not be easy but I am certain it is possible.)

Unfortunately, history shows that SOE will probably only do the second of these.

So once again, blame SOE for makinga stupid system for medics/docs and don't blame players for trying to level in a reasonable pace.

Don't whine about an extra 6 spots in your inventory. /tendwound does like 5-9 per heal. I have seen players with 300-800 wounds. One of my wound B's (base 214) BAM 300-700 heal!

It is possible to earn doctor without using a tumbler or an exploit. Crazy I know..but it's true. I earned doctor without the use of tumblers, pet tricks, etc. etc. Healed my way to Master. It's possible. Took me three weeks to get Master Doctor.

I 100% agree with you. When I earned Master Doctor, I was frequently going on large huntingparties to Dath and simply healing people. It is possible and attainable without touching a tumbler.

I think it is a shame that there are so many doctors who don't carry the supplies on them. I happen to have my entire inventory devoted to supplies, just because I'm a doctor..that's what I do. Perhaps it would be better to allow us to have a special medical supply bag or something that wouldn't cause it to take up so much inventory.

I guess I just have higher standards for what I expect out of a Master Doctor. I carry everything on me and have a droid so I can be a hospital-on-the-go. That's the entire point of having a droid. I have several droids that keep crates of the stuff I need on it. So that does conserve some space.

But, to answer your question, yes I do expect you to carry the supplies. Doesn't mean you have to, but I indeed expect you to.
