How do u guys dealt with them i had one guy ask me to buff him in a /tell. then when i agreed to i told him 10k and he said it was rediculous so i said fine i will give it to u for 7k but i wont take bivoli and no med cloths cuz he was a rude **edit** so the buffs hit for around 1800-2000 not sure exactly. then i had one guys ask me to buff him and i said 10k cuz i would have to use a bivoli wich arent too cheap as u may know. and then when i told him they werent the best buffs but should hit for 2200 but only for 2&1/2 hours he ask if the price was negotiable i said no and he said fine . and then when i asked him if he still wanted them he didnt respond and just walked off so i think he put me on his ignore list.

My quesiton. Is this how people normally act twards a doc?

Im starting to think that some people just see me as a buff monkey. but the majority of my customers (even those who decide my price is too high for the product im giving them) are usually pretty nice.

The way I deal with this kind of situation is as follows..

Customer: How much 4 b00fz!!

Me: 10k - 2150-2250 - 2hr 45Mins - Bank tip only

Customer: **edit**!! Givf cHeaper!

Me: No 10k is my price.

Customer: wel **** you!!oneone!11

Me: /addignore Customer

At the end of the day it's a service and you don't have to buff anyone unless they have paid you.. and even then if they get abusive I'd tip them there money back and add to ignore.

I have simiar experiences. If a customer is rude I tend to get pretty anoyed and wont buff them. 95% of my customers are pleasant and understand that buffpacks arent free and that we are providing a service that we donthave to give them.

The thing that anoys me more than this are when people think we should heal wounds for free. The wound packs cost us money too, i rekon about 75% of players (who havent played medic or doctor) seem to think it's their god given right to free heals

If they ask for free heals I just tell them that I don't heal for free because the woundpacks are not free for me and that they should naff off. If im buffing and a customer has particularly large wounds I will normally just heal them (unless the queue is huge) without expecting a /tip for my troubles.

I have to sayI used to have very good luck with the customers I found in Coronet and Theed starports. However, increasingly, they are becoming rude and demanding. I agree: This is a service I am providing and it costs me money to craft. Doctors are becoming buff bots.

I recently made the decision to give up Master Doc. My resources have either been used (crates of componants), given away to an aspiring Doctor (grinding) or saved for a rainy day (quality avian, herbivore, etc.). Tired of dealing the with junk.

I've only buffed lines in Coronet and Theed a handful of times. Those experiences pretty much pushed towards the "I'll buff whoever whenever I damn well please and charge whatever I want" attitude. If they don't like I dont' need your credits. Go find another doc. I think you'll find most of your grief comes from buffs. Things like wound heals etc most people just give away so people are a little more grateful for them. Although Rez is a touchy one too. I usually give those out free but charge for a rebuff.

I do not buff publicly often, but I find that if I give the stats with the price, I don't really have any problems. I could be charging 25k for 2200 2.5 buffs.... they know the price and exactly what I'm selling. If they don't want them, cool. There will always be jerks that expect everything for free, and there will always be my ingnore list.

true but my ignore list is getting longer and longer each day. and i dont like to add anyone just cuz they are rude once i have ignored a few people who are repeatedly rude. And on the subject of wounds and even poison and disease cure wich i seem to be healing alot lately i usually give them away free. if im in a good mood if not i charge 1k per disease/poison heal and per woundpack i have to use when im in a bad mood. thx for all the suggestions on how to deal. im new to the whole social aspect of the game that doc introduced i have pretty much been all out combat with every other profession that i have played. guess some people just are never happy no matter what.

It is a shame because there are an awful lot of rude people out there, it also seems these days that people can't even blow their nose without getting a buff first.

Lately however I've come across a lot of people who have been really polite and nice (even tipping more than I asked). Maybe more Doctors are just hiding their title due to the hassle of customers. Maybe I've just been lucky lately.

I've been a Doc for a long time, I used to make decent enough money, I don't now because I don't want to deal with the general public as such. I got sick of the hassle.

Thing is if people treat me well I will bend over backwards to help them in the future, it'sa just plain respect. Ironic really. Those who pay me more initially generally get much cheaper deals in the future because I like dealing with them. Those whom are rude and whine about prices and such get ignored or refused a buff or maybe even a price hike.

When a rude costermer comes up to me i just name the price,if they disagree with the price i'll lower it and i'll give them buffs without bivoli and stat clothes and send them away so they don't act more rude towards me because they whould know they were cheated out of better buffs. i don't encorage rudeness at any cost but i never let it go too far nether,i only have 6 people on my ignore list because of my system. whitch i whould have 77 by now if i argued with every person that was rude and wanted buffs. i'll just go on with my sielent ways ....there is no resion to argue with snot balls that came onto the game like snotballs in the first place. but i may start reporting people sometime because of this sort of rudeness now that i think about it.

I think that this will continue as more and more people think of us as buff bots. Also there will always be rude people, but there will be also be good people. Don't give up and look for the good with the bad, and listen to the satisfaction of the silence of a rude person with /ignore ...such a blessed sound. Oh Ya, all of you buffers good luck, the universe can be an ugly place at times .

I just pop a spatial stating I am buffing for XXXX for X time frame for XXXX credits. When they come up, if they are belligerent, I just say in spatial Next please.

If they continue to hound me I ignore em. And if they do that annoying dance, park a speeder on my head type crap I just report the harrassment....only had to do that once tho..

The ones that get me are the Rez/Entertainers. Had an unfortunate situation the other day, a regular customer, maybe just having a bad day, well....I always go in and watch her when I am needing my BF or Mind fixed....even got a few mind buffs....anyways, she sends a tell and says come give me a entertainer buff. I respond that there is a line a mile long and everytime I look up there is the same number of people. She needs to come to me. She said no, come to me. I said I just could not. Well she got all mad about how I never tip her when I watch her dance or the VERY few times she has mind buffed me. When I pointed out that in the last week, I have given her FREE Green buffs, to the tune of 7 that i remembered off hand, not to mention the last month, i was accused of keeping tabs....

The saddest thing? She was a good customer. I hope it was just abad day for her....But....I cannot just screw over all those people in line because SHE demands my attention.
