I recently unlocked my 2nd slot. If I make my 2nd slot character a doctor, is it at all possible to buff my "1st slot" character with the 2nd slot one? or can that only be done with 2 accounts? Is it possible to run two instances of SWG on the same account? (if so, what kind of system req's are needed) Thanks ahead of time!

I don't think you can run 2 characters off the same account at the same time.

yes its possible... u need to one of the following options
1 - edit your cfg file, not sure which one(s) or exactly what to do so u can run 2 swg clients (1 for each character) at a time with the same computer - SOE does not recommend or support this and I don't recommend it unless you have a good gaming machine capable to handle that kind of load
2 - have 2 computerseach signed in with a different character

If you have 2 different account you can run them both on the same comp by creating a file called user.cfg and placing it in your SWG folder, you will then be able to run multiple accounts, the text in the cfg is:
[SwgClient]
allowMultipleInstances=true
allowMultipleInstances=true
In your case when you try to log your other char on the char you currently have on will automatically be logged off but will stay in the SWG world long enough to buff, only problem you will have is not knowing how long you have left on your buffs(you can approximate as you will know how long your buffs will last).

That only applies to characters from different accounts. The OP unlocked his second toon, so he's talking about only one account. AFAIK, only one can be logged in at once. I have the same problem on TC, where every account gets 3 characters.

can you actaully log 2 characters under the same account onto the same server? SOE will let you do this. I understand you can do it with sepereate accounts, but how about the same account?

If you have a 2 accounts that consist of 1. jedi 2. the second slot after you have unlocked your jedi you may not log both charters in at the same time..
if you have 2 accounts that consist of 1. account 2. different account with different log in name then yes you can log in two accounts...

I HAVE logged out my jedi and logged in my alt and he was still sitting there, LD, so if we are alowed to buff LD characters, I guess that will work. Thanks!
PS Can you rez LD characters?

Yea, i guess you could use the whole LD thing to get around it LOL.. that would be annoying tho but doable i guess..

Thats a huge gamble, I wouldn't do it.
See, I'm almost positive the LD trick doesn't work anymore. When I use /quit to log out my 2nd account he immidately disapears, and if I log him in again, I have to walk around for a min before he shows up again. I just don't think it's really worth the frustration.

oh my bad, guess not, wasn't thinkin.... heh if u really wanted to you could do this
log in with jedi
/quit
log in with doc
go buff jedi while he is LD
/quit doc
login as jedi
i know its weak but its possible... the buff should stay

That doesn't work, because your still using the same account.
Short answer is No, you can't use your unlocked toon to buff your jedi. The only way to do it would be to get a 2nd account.
