Thread: +100 wound treatment BE cloths misconceptions?

It was always my understanding that you could never get more then +25 with clothing, and cloths didn't stack inside one item of clothing. That was a bug though I am not sure if you can stack two synth's in a shirt and get a decent amount, though I also heard the cap is + 25 on each item of clothing, which I have found to be true with things I have had made.

Now I am told that you can get with clothing +100. I had always heard on here it was a mic-conception and it actually capped at +25. Maybe it was just confusion, because I had +136 the other day when i was wearing more then +25 in clothing.

My understand when this was explaing to me is IF you can get +100 with your clothing then you DONT Need Bivoli. I also heard clothing and food stack indapendantly so if I got +100 in cloths and +25 in bvivoli it would be +125? Or is there a large cap over all so regardless of the mix you can't cap 200?

If thats true then I could stop spending million on bivoli and just get a +100 doc outfit, or be EVEN more uber with +100 cloths and +25 bivoli for a total of +225 (master doc and then add in my droid.. I am not good with math).

Do we know the true and official word on how this currently functions??

I was a BE for a little while, and I always had people as me to make they a ton of enhancements. I always told them that it was capped at 25. However, maybe it's really 25 each piece of clothing? I don't know, and honestly I dont much care. Just a thought.

As of three days ago when I last buffed folks, I buffed exactly the same value whether I was wearing a clothing combination that was +25 or +42 (making my skill mod window total +125 or +142). So, no, clothing bonuses cap at +25.

+17 more wound treatment from bivoli, however, did stack on top of the clothing, and improve my buffs.

yeah the doc who told me is a very talanted doc so I want to believe her, but she said "just look at your stats" and indeed it said like +136 or something. testing it is another issue. Is this a bug? I mean to me this is a big issue and needs to be adressed.

Capped at +25, and not a bug. Intended to be this way.

I think my clothes are total +40, but I know anything over +25 doesn't matter.. I just had +15 pants and bought a +25 shirt..

Now food does indeed stack on top of that.. so with +25% bivoli you can rock..

Before it was hard to test the clothing stack because of the randomness, sometimes I perceived that additional clothes helped, but it was just lucky rolls with good timing. Borrow a piece of BE enhanced clothing from a friend and try it yourself.

With the random factor removed from buffs, it's no longer so hard to test... And yes, the skill mod window really shouldn't be displaying more than +25 from either food or clothes (for a total of +50 max). It is very misleading.

In the skills window it says you have a +136 or whatever amount of BE clothes you are wearing....but only +25 of it will work. There is a hard cap at +25.

You can easily test this out yourself.

Based on the power of your buffpack calculate you high your buff should be wearing +25 clothes and +100 clothes.
Now put on your +100 BE clothes and buff using that buffpack.

You will find that you will buff exactly the amount that you calculate using +25 clothes

Anything above +25 for clothes just doesn't matter

I think the display has been broken for like 3 months now.

I think the easy way to test this is to use the Buff equation. Do that math with +25 and one with +36. If the numbers match 36 then we know that the BE Clothing is higher then +25.

I would do it, but not at home, so I can't remember what my BE Numbers are.

I keep having people buy for 60+ of mods from my BE vendor and it makes me nuts. I mean it's not like you can't test it now or something...

well i think we should really A) ask the question to the dev's and get confirmation that it is indeed ment to be a +25 cap, because if that's true people need to know and it will effect BE sales. I think it can't hurt to ask even if some think it is supposed to be that way. Maybe there is a chanse they will say, oh crud wait okay yeah lets allow you to do +100. I mean to me that would make BE sales go way up. With how often I die I would go through cloths like crazy.

Next if we do find out if is intended to be a +25 cap then we need to put that at the top of our list of things that need to be fixed. Its causing mass confusion in the game in particular people who dont come here. If it IS supposed to work as it is "showing up" then we need to put in a bug to say its NOT making any difference after +25.

I would love to see this get fixed though i know there are many other bugs, but this seems like a big one that causes a lot of confusion.

Hehe been asking on every boards to have it fixed since theyfixed BE clothes in November, but it seems it's just not happening. It doesn't seem such a hard fix to implement though /shrug

It is intended though, it wasconfirmed in January or something by a dev on the forums, but as we know everyone doesn't read the forums, that's why it keeps happening.

heh.. yeah i know there is ALOT OF BUGS STILL 6 MONTHS LATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I been playing sence week 2 so.. I picked doc cause it was one of the few un-broken proffesions at the time and actually had a good game experience because of it. It had the least amount of major changes. I enjoyed that and tailor, though i think necklaces are still broken they dont show up.. and now there is a weird bug were sockets arnt being created on certian items. it amazes me how they can break things.

but hey this is how this industry is, they put out broken things because it's acceptable in our culture, the same way your computer crashing "every once in a while" is also acceptable.

yes, its intended. It was stated as such by one of the devs (though I dont remember which, either TH or Q3po i think). Go search through the dev tracker if your really need to see it for yourself and cant trust us.

I dont know that its causing "mass" confusion.... Sure its a bug, but its still pretty minor in comparison to other bugs.
