Thread: We need more reasons to be in a medical center.
I find myself healing more out of the med centers than in them. Ispend a bunch of time in the Mos Eisley med center before/after my grouping for healing new people and answering email. Still though most of my healing is outside of starports or when I get tells from people asking me to heal them as I run through starports or different cities. For my experiences it's been about the same for people in the centers before and after the CU. Most of the time if people know there is a doc in there, the word will spread and I get more patients. I totally agree that it would be kewl for us to get more things to do in there, like the cybernetics. Maybe better heals in the center or with a droid?
When the CU first happened I freaked and thought that I would hate being a doc, but find myself having more fun now with it than anything and yes Myt..you were right...all I had to do was shut up, quit my whining and get out there and enjoy it. Granted my ability to earn mass credits has dropped but I find myself getting tipped more and more every day so it keeps me happy.

The problem is that you can't get wounds like you used to. In my opinion, a hard fight should give you MASSIVE wounds. Much more than Pre-CU. The med centers will be full, then.
Have you been in a starport lately?
I hope that they can add more reasons for people to visit the hospitals. I think that allowing other player doctors to add and remove cybernetic parts on an operating table would have been great. Or adding enhancements into peoples bodies...

I have made several post on this topic in the Corrispondent forum and did get on reply which suggested they were working on something with med center, faction status, and wound healing. They did not give a timeline, nor details.
My gues, and this is purly a guess, is that while in a NPC you will be able to heal large amounts of wounds and do so without regard to faction standing. We shall see.
this is an opinion and should be taken as such...Doctors have absolutely no business being in the field healing except maybe in a field camp or base as a buffer
1 i feel that doctors should get no experiance from healing damage whatsoever as that is a battle condition and doctors are not supposed to be in battle---partly the reason to choose doc over combat medic
2 doctors as the only beings that can heal wounds should get experiance for healing wounds at the same levels they did pre CU and maybe a 1/4 of xp from buffing
3 as before CU a doctor should only be able to heal wounds in a hospital or similar environ or if he/she/it had access to a medical droid
4 a medic (not being a doctor or a combat medic but a little of both) should get normal xp in the field as he is still considered a journeyman or apprentice{its the choice of doctor or combat medic that should determine the rest of thier career}
this is my opinion and i really felt it should be aired because all my doctors felt like combat medics so now ...... they are combat medics cause if they are gonna be in battle i want the better set of modifiers and the battle meds to work with

I have no problem with doctors only gaining xp from wound healing as long as wounds players can get more wounds AND they have a greater impact on the players performance. As it stands, unless you get killed you hardly get any wounds.
As I already have master, where the xp comes from does not effect me directly but I like healing wounds and helping other players. With the small amount of wounds players have I sometimes feel useless, unless I go out with a group and play combat medic and even then with a big group there is not really much need for me anyway.
