Thread: Factories Finally Fixed?

I just did a short run (20) of stims and just put crates in to see if it'd pull from them. It did the full run with no error message. Have to see if it'll do that consistently though, of course. =)

Not unless they have done it within the last 2 days or so. Twice in the last week, I had everything in order to run a batch of 100 advanced items, and it quit after1 items were made. Harvester left the schematic, ate my ingredients. Not terribly happy about losing all those berries and whatnot. *sigh* Seems to work off and on, which is better than most things in this game.

I have 9 factories. Last night they were all running. This morning (after the patch) I went on and of course they had all stopped but non had completed. About half of them were making components from the night before and had stopped after 100 items. The other half were making stims or wound packs but stopped when they were down to 1 crate of each component in the input hopper. They all still had stuff in their input hoppers so I just restarted them.


Here's the good news.... after restarting them I waited fully expecting to see the 0 items created message like I would have on any other day. To my amazement after 15 minutes none of them had stopped. I'm still not sure if they will die at 100 but they weren't bugged from the night before and it seems to be working a lot better with crates so I'd bet that the stopping at 100 run thing won't happen either.

We're discussing the patch that went in this morning (Sept 4) so, yeah, I think that qualifies for the last 2 days or so.

I just got a message saying my factory ran out of items, i was running a batch of 20 woundpack b's and guarenteed i had enough. Looked at my output hopper and I had 5 completed, and my inventory hopper was EMPTY. The factory ateALL my components and resources that were not used yet.


I knew I should have redeeded first.

As of last night at midnight, all 4 factories that I use(two mine, two a friends) were still fubar. That's right, broken down babysitting material 100-150 a day producing machines. Only(that I recall)fix for factories that was spelled out in the patch was the "remove schematic" button. If factories now produce unlimited items everyday without redeedingand pull out of crates everytime...I'll be a monkey's uncle.

This worries me. Yesterday I did a run of stim-B's and I was sure I had put in enough resources and components for 6-8 but I only got 2 crates built... I thought I must have just been confused about how much I put in there since I run 9 factories it's easy to lose track. Now I'm not so sure

Before any of you post your problems after the patch....Make sure you re-deed your Factory. I know it costs now to re-deed, but my understanding is your factory may well be bugged if you had it up and running pre-patch.


Re-deed and then try to run with Crates and see if you can successfully get >100 items

Yes... I would like to know -- to redeed or not to redeed. Did everyone whose factories are now working re-deed first? I find that hard to believe.


Can anyone confirm or deny that factories are _not_ working after the patch unless you re-deed?
