Hi... My first time posting to the Doctor Boards...
I just made Master Doc earlier this evening with my ALT and decided to try my hand at buffing.
Bought all the Enhances, Bivoli and Brandy I thought I'd need and headed off to Coronet.
I'd seen the lines, but was completely unprepared for the mayhem as I'd only been on the receiving end of Buffs.
Wow... It's crazy trying to manage 10+ people waiting for you.
I've read through the FAQ and other great posts from you guys which certainly helped me level doc.
But, are there any good line management macros or tips that this community could point me to?
Any help would be appreciated!

I usually just have people bank tip me so I can go through the e-mails and see whos next. If anyone complains I tell them thats how the e-mail tells it, should have been a faster typer. Make sure you have your buff packs in your tool bar and that you try to keep the charge numbers the same so if you get distracted you can look back and see if your missing anything.

I enjoy making the money that can be made by sitting down in Coronet and doing such things. So I think I can tell you what to do, not that the there are definite tips but maybe some vague guidelines. First, after you've found a spot to sit down, make a say/yell/shout/howl macro that tells everybody: what power your buffs are, how long they last, and how much they cost (possibly a que-jumping price). Which would be simply like this,
/say Master Doctor Buffing! 5000 to all stats, lasts for 5 hours! Come get em for 10k! (I wish, lol)
/pause 10;
/ui action toolbarSlot 00;
The macro itself would be in slot f1
After you've done this some customers may emerge, and just take it easy. Don't even look at the entire line, just take it one step at a time, if they listened to your spam..err, buff info they will know what to tip you when they are first in line. Once the tip has been placed, start buffing, and when that dude's done say "Thanks, next" or something. It's always good to not only be prepared but know about it, the more consious you are about how many packs you have the more stressful it may become. I always say, be prepared to buff about 40 people (usually ends up being 25-30). If the competition is rough, don't worry about it, try dropping your prices or even just packing up and going to a different planet (Dant, dath, etc.). Sometimes you'll get a rough costumer, and if you're like me you can handle it (I don't get them too often, maybe it's my name, "FishPaste"). If you arn't like me, /ignore, tell them to buzz off, and just simply forget they're there and buff the next hopefully more polite person in line. I don't think there's much more I can add, I hope you have fun with doc.

For a while, I required people to send me a /tell to get in-line. Then I'd open my /notepad, and put their name in line, and call them out when it was their turn.
Lately, I've just had them get into a physical line...I scroll out from my character and put a side view, to watch any line-cutters, and I just buff the next one in line. I have a macro running every 60 seconds that gives prices...but I also will reply if they ask.

Asking people to bank tip is the best way IMO. People don't respect lines in RL, they will not respect them in a game lol.

!st idea: put a disclaimer in your yell saying WILL NOT RESPOND TO REQUESTS FOR REFUND or something like that, but less harsh.
And if you make everyone banktip the line is pre-ordained right there in your email, just update people once in a while and youll be fine.

I use pen and paper to write down the players who pay me. Payment gets you a spot in line, as far as I'm concerned, not a request. The problem with building your line on requests is this: what if the person leaves before the buff? Then you're stuck deciding whether or not to skip the person. If they've paid, they're sure to stay and wait.
As far as bank tips go, I don't understand why most players feel compelled to pay by bank tip and pay the extra 5%. I don't require bank tips because I don't use my mailbox to hold my line. Yet, even after being told that bank tips are not necessary, people STILL bank tip me! I would think these people would want to save the 5% and regular /tip me.

Don't make the people form a physical line, it's not very practical. And don't spam your prices, that's just gonna get you added to alot of peoples ignore list.
This is how I do it:
1: Have two macros handy while buffing, one says your stats and prices (only to be used when someone asks), and the other gives the same stats and prices as a /reply (only to be used when you get a /tell).
2: Take bank tips only if your in coronet or just have a long line. I've made the mistake of accussing someone of not paying and then later having to appologize when I could go back and read my spatial. Trust me, most players would rather have thier position in line written in stone so-to-speak than have you guess who's next.
3: Having your master doctor tag up and droid out is all you need to get peoples attention. Remember, they're looking for you already, THEY WILL FIND YOU.
Remember people: Spamming is wrong, don't do it.

hehehe before the lines i used to jot down names of people who sent me a tell first for "buffs" but the line is certainly the most efficient way to keep things organize and I'm really glad that the majority of players respect it. I know it can become a LONG wait. There is always going to be someone asking questions about your enhances so be sure to include that in whatever shout macro you make. Might want to add stuff in like no-overts if you don't want to get a TEF or about BF not being above 250 because that lowers the power.

Personally, here's what I used to do:
1 Loop a macro with basic price and stat info and an all-caps message that you accept BANK TIPS ONLY, NO REFUNDS, and that place in line is reserved by tip order.
2 Set yourself afk with your afk message pretty much repeating what you've already said, and ignore other tells.
3 Anyone who gives you crap goes on the ignore list.
It's true that spamming is annoying, but it's the best way I've found to run a good buff line. You may get ignored by a few people but the last thing a buffing doc needs is more business.

As a MDoc and a player i prefer physical lines. As a player its infuriating not knowing your position in the queue, a line gives you that information. Further, a line provides a graphical, easy to read list. No need to write it down, keep /notepad open or rely on email. Have them form a queue and tip when they get to the front. In my experience its orderly and efficient 90% of the time. For the other 10% just try to pay attention to the line and dont buff jerks and queue jumpers, everyone in the line will appreciate it.
