Thread: To docs who think we should charge 10k minimum for buffs
Are you a master doc with bio-enhanced clothing?
Do you make your own packs?
Or do you buy them? If you buy them, at what price per charge do you pay?
Just trying to make sense of this.

I charge a flat rate 1k per stat 6k for all I make my own pack mostly in crates of 20-30 packs they are 870-900/30/11600~-12200~. anyways on my server you can get packs around same stat (usually lower charges though ) for around 500 credit per use which mean people that buy their packs will tend to use it for their own use or charge higher prices.
I get tiped over that usually, myregular customers usually tip consistantly : some 8k some 10kone tips 15k consistantly and another 20k consistantly . i usually give priority to good tippers

if you want to push for higher prices push it to 7.5k-> 9k ->12k ->15k ...
10k doesn't devide well by 6

As for buying pricse, I've heard of people paying 6 mill for 1 crate of 50 for each stat (1 mill per crate) I've been charging 10k for a set for a while and no real problems. I also have people who pay more than the 10k. One guy on my server boards even tried to say my buffs were over priced LOL but HE was the one taking 3 shuttle rides to get them!

Yes Im a master Doc with BE, and I make my own Packs. It actually doesnt matter to me what other docs charge. I charge 2k per STAT. The only reason anyone has ever not taken that price, was because there was aDoc next to me doing it for 6k. Doesn't bother me one bit. There are plenty of people willing to Pay 12k for a Master Doc Buff.
I heal everyone for free. I gotta make it up somewhere.

No hair off most Doc's backs. Many of us buffing is not a mainstay for us. I have people paying 10k for my buffs when I'm passing through a town and I have people who travel to where ever I am and pay 30k. If people want buffs they will pay for them. If they think they don't have to pay for them then they need to master Doc themselves cos I don't know any one that does them for free. Only time I do for free is when I'm in small hunting groups.

I dont know about other servers, but on Lowca there is almost always a shortage of MASTER doc buffs. This has taken me since the first month or so sincerelease, to gather/hoard resources to make these packs. Packs of similar quality I have seen sell in limited form for 120k a set, only 10 sets or less available.
My base heals are 890+, duration is well over 11k seconds = 3 hours. Most of these resources dont spawn consistantly, and are the best I have seen (especially the herb and avain). These are premium resources and premium buffs, you will get what you pay for.
If you don't want to pay 10K for a buff, these new packs were a pain in rear to make, soI would rather buff friends who will help me gather herb or avain meat then take your 10k, as I dont really need the credits.......I can sell 4 super stim-b's (400+ base heal) and make over 10k, and the recources were a piece of cake to gather. If fact the moreI think about it the moreI thinkI should charge 12k, as this may slow damand.

I charge 10k for my buffs all day every day on Bloodfin.
If you're running missions doctor buffs allow you to make money on a level you definately could not without them.
If you're pvping doctor buffs either give you that extra edge or simply bring you up to the level playing field of your enemies (because chances are they will be buffed--do you really want to not be buffed?).
Either way 10k is a no brainer.
If I'm in town and there are other docs buffing for 6k I just let them have the business. If I'm at a hot hunt spot or on a remote planetorI"m the only doc around--you're gonna pay 10k or your gonna shuttle jump back to Coronet to get your buffs for 4k cheaper (and you'll have paid most of the difference in shuttle fares anyway).
I have no shortage of players lining up to pay 10k for my buffs. If you only charge 6k great, but you really should spend some time as a combat profession first to get a real sense of how valuable to players your buffs really are--then you'd realize you're shortchanging yourself big by charging 6k.

Right now Im 1/2/2/0 and can only use B level Enhancements..most of the time IFI buff some one I dont charge, or I chage like 300 per enhance.
If the price is raised to 10k for Master buffs, then I can raise my price and maybe make a little cash as I head to the top..
You mean I started this big of a movement WOW. LOL. I posted that we should charge 10k for our packs and so far about 80% of the docs have taken my lead ( on gorath). Thanks for the support.

I'm even more outrageous than most on my buff prices. I'm charging 10k plus 2k per 1km I have to travel to buff you and I round UP so the minimum you will pay is 12k for a full buff. I also will not just stay where I am and let you come to me. If I'm in Theed and you're in Moenia I'm going to have to travel about 11km to get to you so your buff is going to cost you 32k.
My price has actually gone up from 5k to 10k in the past couple of days due to the fact that it wasn't worth my time to only charge 5k.
I can hear it now "32K!!! That's WAY TO HIGH!" and I would normally say that also but the fact is, people either PAY IT, or they say NO WAY! When people pay it, it makes it worth my while, but if they say no way, it's no sweat off my back.
I'm not ripping people off by charging that much, I always tell them up front that I'm charging 10k for the buff and 2k per 1km of travel time. I look at it like this, assuming that I feasibly COULD have to wait 10 minutes for a shuttle to get to you what else could I be doing during that time? Doing Picket missions on Dant (for which I can get 20-25k in 10 minutes)? Hunting? Healing others for XP? Or even better yet escorting a hunting party?
Think about most doctors offices you go into in RL. They don't charge you just a little bit over the price that it costs to make the meds that they give you,they charge you for their TIME ALSO. A doctors time is worth a lot of credits and until people start to take that into consideration doctors are going to continue to be one of the least profitable classes in the game. Basically working for free....
