Just wondering if any doctors are successfully soloing on non-starter planets without using a pet. If so, what does your template look like?

Not me personally, but I do know of a couple people that do..

Basically there template is... (This is all PVE soloing BTW)

Master Medic
Master Teras Kasi Artist
Doctor (3/4/4/0) (Or some Variation of that)
Novice Marksman (0/4/0/0)
Novice Pistoleer (0/0/0/0)

Basically they do a Bleed1, Bleed2, move into melee and pound the critter into the ground. They can buff themselves, etc.

Actually a pretty nice spec with 0 points left over.

Unless they've got Teras Kasi, there's not much of any chance to solo anything of decent size and still be a good doctor. (At least I certainly haven't found a way.)

I'm a carbineer (and not a bad one, at that) and a master doctor. By myself, I can handle a couple large creatures if I'm fully buffed. However, with my mountain krevol, I can wander around Dantooine and few things even bother me. It's sad that it works that way, but it does. This weekend, I was out "soloing" Janta Warriors trying to find some Janta Blood (no luck, though). I'd never come close to taking one of those guys down if I was truly alone.

I hate what pets have done to this game. If you don't have one, you're a wuss.

Of course, as a side note, I think doctors get most of the benefits of a creature handler without taking creature handler. (This could change soon with the next big patch - we'll have to wait and see.) I take my mountain krevol out (which has about 2k HAMS and light armor) and then buff his health, action, constitution, and stamina. That gives him 5k HAMS and an incredible regeneration rate. Except for the amount of damage that he does, that's nearly as good as a graul - and I don't have a single point invested in creature handler. I've never seen a creature handler/doctor, but I can imagine that would be one heck of a combination - I can't imagine the power of a couple buffed graul maulers.

I can take on ST's and other things around that levelon my own without a pet, so long as I can pull them one at a time.

Im a:
Master CM
Master Surgeon
Novice Pistoleer (first box melee defense, first box Accuracy)

I use D-Buffs on all my stats, sometimes take a spice hit if I know that my mind is gonna get targeted heavily (stormtroopers seem to like to do headshots) and use a attack combo of

Single target Health poison C (400 damage/tick)
/healthshot2
/bodyshot2
/bodyshot2)
/healthshot1
/bodyshot2
/bodyshot2
/bodyshot2
/bodyshot2
etc...

usually can take down most things like this. If its soething that comes up to melee me ill throw in a /pistolmeleedefense1 to knock them around a bit

I do that.

Master Doctor
Fencer 0100

I can handle some Lok and some Endor missions. I can solo the Veermok cave on Naboo.

I can't handle everything, but if I pick and choose missions, I can solo. That's the real trick to soloing. Pick and choose.

Master Doctor, Master Combat Medic at one time, Pistol IV in Marksman. Advanced planets only offered a little trouble when I soloed, but I never went up against anything truly dangerous either...

Lob a poison and kite the critter, that's what I used to do.

Yummm...buffed graul maulers. Pretty much unstoppable. My friend and I sent one in against5 gurrecks at once, and his one buffed GM survived. It regen'ed almost as fast as the gurrecks could deal out damage. Of course, we were shooting the whole time, and his mind almost ran out...but health and action were at like 3/4, with no stims used.

Your pets will whine and cringe, licking at my unshod feet just before they DB me and still I will laugh! Why?! They are naked and do not wield a butterknife or carry a stick! My mind My mind!!

Only have issues with mind, wear a 47% sliced encumbrance composite helmut and nothing else. I only have issues with mind stuff. I find that Pistoleer skills (currently 0,2,0,0) and the radial "folow command" make most ranged NPC's fairly easy. With Enhance D's and Stim E's only the realy big stuff gives me fits. and usually the mind even before I need a stim.

If Armor/Buff stats/Food/Spice did not have bugs would be even easier and this seems to be the root of most of my in-game issues atm. (not totaly solo related, just issues)

Master Medic
Master Doc
Scout 4,0,4,1
CH 1,1,0,0 (but I rarely use pets, unless I am hunting for Herb/Avian)
Pistoleer 0,2,0,0
Marksman 2,4,0,0

Mind you this is today, tomorow ?? who knows
