HOLY CRAP!
I don't mean that in a good way.
I grinding for 38 hours, to get to the point where to make GOOD buffs, I have to buy:
Special Food - 25k
Special Clothing - 40k
A Droid -30k
Resources - 250k (avian meat is at a high price...)
Crafting Tool(s)- 10k
Factory - 30k
Power Harvester - 20k
So, after all that grinding and macroing I get to the point where I am going to drop this proffesion.
I have to spend 405k just to make GOOD buffs. What the hell is up with that?
Anyone got some advice?

It is called an investment. Make good buffs and it will pay you back tenfold..

Also, to add.. The good docs do not just do buffs to make money.. the good docs support large groups, heal everyone and generally enjoy the social aspect of the profession.
The profession is mainly a social support profession, what were you anticipating the profession to beas your ground your way to mastery?

I WISH I had that problem… I got master doc and the highest buff kit I can make is 225 because there are no resources on Lowca to make them at the moment.. I would gladly pay $$$$ for them.

i've found thereality with doctor, armorsmith and weaponsmith is.... grinding your way to master level is just the beginning.... you personally have to become a master crafter in these professions.... your character is merely the vehicle you perform through...

No where near Master Doc and I have spent around 2 million to get where I am. Until a friend slapped me and told "Get yourself 4 harvesters and 2 power generators".

Lol 405k. Stop your whining. I don't make nearly as much as other docs because I use my buffs to support group, guild, and people who need them and can't afford them. I do public buff sessions occasionally but not to the point where it is my main income.

I made Master Doc yesterday, went and bought buffpacks for 68K (enough for 29full buffs) and 10 stacks of bivoli for 60K.
I charge 9K a buff and hit 2300 for 3h25min.
Initial investment required: 108K
Return after buffing for an hour or two: 261K
On top of that, I only used 4 stacks of bivoli, so I still have 6 stacks to go.
Doesn't seem like a huge investment to me, and the return is pretty good.
I'm still master rifleman and I still make way more money running missions, I only buff because I am tired of running missions alone, and I like sitting down talking to everyone
Anyways, investment is only as big as you want to make it... you can skip the bivoli, get buffpacks for under 70K and charge 8K a buff. You'll make some money, go buy bivoli and start charging 9K
Incase you want to know, in order to run missions in any combat profession I have ever had at a good speed, you need: full comp aromur, weapons, brandy, misc food (rifleman means you need canape and ahrisa) and a vehicle .. then you go out and do the missions and have a constant decauy on everything... it is much much more expensive to do combat than it is to do doc....
