Added Stimpack Dispenser Module to the DE skill tree: This skill allows a player with Pharmacology IV to load up a properly equipped droid with Stimpack A's. Once loaded, any player within the droid master's group may issue a /requestStimpack command to receive healing.

I think I've forgotten how to make them... what can you get, maybe a 150 base Stim A with awesome resources? Still, it may take healing out of the docs combat queue.

Well I am support doc, I dont do much combat, and only attack in case of any of my group mates are down and we are hunt critters that can DB. So I see it both as a negative and positive side.

+ as stated the healing move will be removed from the combat que.

- how will a novice medic, or doc gain healing xp when on mission?

Then again who am I to complain, I can prolly start making some good qual stim a's and sell em to new'bs for some extra income.

I don't like it either, seems to me that they are putting in droids most of the roles of nobive classes in that publish... That being said, I wouldn't worry too much about it, it's only stim As and it really won't heal for much.

Makes me wonder what the Devs think stim A's are being used for vs. what they are actually being used for (nothing).

Well, the potential benifit as I see it is allowing a Doctor to sell low end droids loaded with stims to Non-novice medics, thus allowing people with no med skills to potentially get healed. Many people have suggested making StimA's useable by anyone, this may be a modified implementation of that idea.

The patch notes say you only need Pharm 4 to "load" the stims. Im gonna play around with one and see if a loaded droid can then be given to a non-medic and see if they can still use it to get heals.

If that works, it could be a great thing for people who dont want to spend 15 points on novice medic.

I disagree on that last remark. Skill point expenditure is supposed to have meaning. We've been told time and again that if we wish to be able to /survey and /sample that we would need to spend the 15 skill points to do so, allowing anyone to simply take a droid with A-Stims and heal themself without requiring novice medic flys in the face of that response we were given.

Granted, our case for wanting the ability to /survey and/or /sample is valid and different from this particular issue, but the response we've gotten should be the same anyone else gets who wants to bypass the SP expense and heal themselves with a droid.

This has the potential to cut out the healer role in (low-level) group situations, a place a lot of up and coming medics get their XP.

Sure, allow a droid to augment our(collectively, healers) skills. Don't allow it to replace us.

yeah well we will see if the droids work with crates in them, 10 bucks says they dont and they have to be patched I would never stick 10 stims in their, they would go to fast, crates all the way.

Bah I realy don't care. It will take people forever to stim up with stim As. 75 power just isn't that much. I don't think it will replace the newbie medics because when I want a newbie medic to follow me around stimming me I give them a crate of 10 sets of stim Bs and say keep up fella. Generaly they get mad XP from that. (I will go buffed except for Con and Stamina and spam combat specials till the cows come home.) I don't know many people that could keep up with that with stim As.

Does the thing just store stimpacks or actually heal you? The wording can go either way.

Expensive droid you need out in combat (so you can be healed and it can be blown up) vs. 15 SP for 400 pt. stim B's... is that even a choice?

It is silly enough to really not effect medics or Docs at all. IMO.

Now the survey droids...

That is my view of it as well. Most people currentlywith novice medic will keep novice medic to use their 400 power Stim Bs. A doctor and/or combat medic is still required in any serious hunting group. I like the idea for the variety it provides, but as alays, we'll have to see the implementation to make sure that it doesn't hurt us in any significant way. I can't really imagine that Stim-As will cas any problems.

I like it the way it is. At pharm IV you get to use this droid.

Why not have a Master Doctor droid that you can load with stim Bs, Just make the droid only usable by Master Docs.
