THIS IS A WARNING TO ALL DOCTORS
Doctors, there are currentlyJedi's and Siths running around with an overt oppisite faction ally. This overt person comes up to you and asks for heals and/or buffs. The moment you are TEF'd the jedi/Sith attacks you and DB's you. The reason for this happening? PVP ratings.
My advice: tell any and all overts to LD for their heals and buffs. The covert timer sets when they LD, so you have time to buff or heal before they are Overt again.
Be well Doctors, and be safe.

Damn that's really low, but I tend not to "buff" any overts at all. The only overts I'll help is friends who I know. That should stop that from happening.

Ya that is pretty cheap and low. Might as well kick us in the nuts first then db. Thats ok. I keep a notepad file of all the people that are idiots on my server so when they come for a buff I look to see if their names on there and they don't get a set

Also, fellow docs if a jedi asks for a rez and you can get to him in time. Make sure you check that a BH is not around because a few have stated on their boards that if we rez and get a tef they will not hesitate to kill us once we have the tef and then kill the jedi again. It has something to do with the a bug in the bounty system of tefs not disappearing after death. I have rezed some jedis i was grouped with while fighting bh and didn't realize my danger luckly the jedis killed the bh before he could do anything. Not all of them are like this but enough for us to be wary. I guess it can go the opposite way as well, if you rez a BH the jedi can kill you as well. But becareful, besafe and good luck.

I'm gonna put the same reply here, as I did on my server forums:
Disgustingly pathetic. But, it was just a matter of time. The pvp rating systems was obviously designed to go against doctors and pvp support personel.
I PvP regularly. But, when I pvp - i'm a doctor. I'm not too too much of a fighter unless someone comes close to me. Then, i can pretty much hold my own until my guild gets there to assist me. So, there are nights when i do nothing but /drag /rez /cure /heal for hours. And all i get... is loss of faction and loss of PvP rating simply because in the end i die. And, as we know, when the last doc drops, PvP has ended.
So, while the chain of events are cheap and pathetic. They are using the system the way it was designed. One more flawed fix, and sad attempt.
My suggestion, is make it public when this happens, /report and post names here on your server board. Let the server community take care of its own once again.

/bump Doctors need to decide what to do about this issue, do we rez or not. Fulfill our duty as doctors and heal the sick or get our asses handed too us by bh and jedi's

It is unfortunate that this happens. I just masterd doc two days ago and I am Imp. But in the healing world of things unless I am in battle I try to be neutral. I don't care about the rating either.Needless to say we will just find ways around it like we find ways around everything else.

They need a warning box to come up that says "Performing this action on your target player will open you to hostile actions by opposing faction members." for covert players. [ Okay ] [ Cancel ]
Overt players wouldn't get the warning.
In your game options, you could check a box to decide whether or not this warning occurs. Then you know for sure whether or not you'd get a TEF for your heal and decide if you want it or not.

Good idea but we already know we'll be TEF'd. . . i try to explain this to people who ask for buffs, rez's, heals etc while overt. Doc takes a lot of SP and doenst allow us to stack combat profs and frankly one master combat prof is not enough to keep you alive against most.
