Thread: The Last Patch Nerfed Doctors!

Any doctor who partakes in combat knows exactly waht im talking about.
So youre at a raid, your buffing away, then all of a sudden you need to fight, but no, you cant becase youre in BE clothes and it will take you 45 seconds to get your armor on.
Anybody else frustrated by this?

I'm not frustrated about this. Just so you know, it's not only doctors that are affected by this.

Indeed the armour delay affects everyone but docs are the only ones that need to whip off armour for rebuffing, rebuffing effectively anyway...your mind is not going last long buffing in full armour.

Leave your armor on when you buff.
Get an undershirt that has BE +20 so that you can leave it on when you fight. I have a wooly undershirt that is +25 and I never take it off (boy does it smell, however).
If your regening too slow then take your helmet off only (it has by far the highest encomb). Then as you go to stand up you can put your helm back on (takes about the same amount of time as standing). If your drinking brandy you will not need to sit or take your helm off.
Another idea is just to not bother with the BE clothing. How often does someone die from a Heath or Action loss? Mybe 5% of the time. The only reason to buff at all in PvP is to allow the use of specials. For those you only need about a 2k buff. This can be done with ease without BE clothing or Bivoli (never eat it when pvping, you need the belly space for mind buff food).

I have left my comp armor on and buffed .. the buff was crap. I removed my helmet .. same thing.
I was wearing a +25/+25 injury wound treatment top as always. Never had a problem before.
I had to remove my armor completely in order to get the highest effect. I did not move or change buff packs, droids, clothes, etc.
My mind bar goes way down even when drinking brandy while wearing the armor and helmet, then without the helmet, I practically had to wait until it came back up before I could buff the next person. Once the armor was removed, Icould buff with no problems.
PFFT ... I don't like it.

Sorry, but a crappy buff has nothing to do with your armor. The only things that impact the buff are WT skills, droid, location (med cities are rare), bivoli, buff pack, and most importantly the patients BF. When fighting, more often than not your patient will have agreater than 250BF.
If your still having trouble with regening your mind with your armor on and drinking brandy then eat Ahrasa (sp?) or Canape. The Ahrasa will add to your focus which will lower the amount of mind damage you get when you heal and the canape will also lower the damage and help you regen. The advantage of the Ahrasa is that it lasts for 45 min and if your bf is low then you will digest it in the same amount of time it is useful.

I agree with Marrow 1. Just pick up an undershirt and you should be okay, as long as you have some Bivoli with you.
I didn't know that the changes to putting on armor was intended. I thought my macro was broken until I read this thread...

buffing with ur armor on works. i did it alot when iwas grinding on Endor. I buffed other people just like normal. Get a undershirt like every1 else said

For me, it seems like there is a large delay in healing in combat, even when your queue is cleared. Caused me a lot of incaps.

Let me say this again, I'm a master doctor AND I knowwhat couldaffect buffing BUT... Here's the situation:
Master Doctor
110 Med Droid (SAME one I've been using for over a month)
+24.48 Bivoli (Bought crates of this stuff ... 8 left ... SAME for 3 weeks)
+25/+25 Injury/Wound BE Clothing (yes, ONE item and it's the SAME one I always wear UNDER my armor)
Buff Packs(Nothing wrong withthem .. I've been using theSAME packs for over a month now)
SAMEPlace I always Buff Friends when I'm on the same planet (In front of the Cantina, Dearic, Talus .. Bria Server)
NO Battle Fatigue .. so that means ZERO BF (this goes for the patient and myself)
Now for the kicker ....
SAME ARMOR!
It's now after Publish 9 and I re-iterate my previous statement.
**With Armorand without my helmet .. Buffs are 200+ less than what they would be normally .. after Publish 9
**With Armor and with helmet .. Buffs are 200+ less than what they would be normally .. after Publish 9
**Without Armor AND without helmet .. Buffs are normal .. Before AND after Publish 9
Call me crazy .. but it seems to me ... it has to do with the last Patch .. go figure.

That's weird. I've noticed exactly the opposite. I'm hitting much higher now after publish 9 than I was before. Maybe it's just the stats onyournew stuff that's bringing it down..

Hmmm What is the condition of your clothing? Is your clothing in a red highlighted box?
When you take your armor off, what do you put on?
