From tinkering with the medic on the cu test center it looks like our heals are spells... This is quite a bit different... Im not sure what to think...

it still may be a good thing to get rid of the damn stim packs since docs will not need any crafting anymore :/ i heard it was moved to BE...
I don't get it.....In the current system they feel like spells to......the only reason they weren't considered so is because we had items. Items that never even showed up in the emotes.....I seriously fail to see the complaint of saving invertory space.

By this argument we could also get rid of weapons -with novice marksmanyou will get a virtual ranged weapon and when you progress in the skill tree it will get more powerful. Who cares about weaponsmiths, waste of time and inventory space!
Also, look at that armor. Needs too much inventory space too. This could be integrated into the combat skills as well! Perhaps even with a magic spell to change vulnerability!
At the end, everything is just inventory space. It's a computer game, a huge interactive database of 1 and 0's. Who needs all those graphics, just a waste of computing power if you ask me. Why don't just display a console where we can interact with simple commands?

if you were a former crafter you would undertand... Granted it might not have appeared we were doing anything when a doc applied a buff but it was actually using an object within the game to make it possible. I cant image whyyou actually like having the game simplified down to the point they are initially. It was the complexity that kept me coming back. There is so much depth to the game now that might be washed away and lost in the CU. Is it that hard for you to realize why people are upset?
Umm I do craft....And yes I do think that simplifying some of the stuff is better for the game.If you want to Craft....then do so, you will have a largercustomer base anyways.

Rodian-Bob The problem with res kits is that they called it a "res kit." Would you have been happier if they called it a defibrillator?
CPR doesn't require "Items" but it saves lives. There is no difference.

Your right, they could do that.....but then the game would be totally unrealistic. Let me put it this way....having to carry around all the resources, sub components, crates of this and that, all the "best" Medical Supplies you can make....was the biggest waste of space out of any profession. No other profession had to carry what we did. Some may have choosen to, but it was out ability to craft on the go that hurt us because were were limited by space.
I agree with what you are saying, but I for one hated having no room for anything because I have all my medical stuff take up 75% of my inventory space.....no to mention 1 guild hall, 2 small houses and 3 factories....just to do my job.
