Thread: Demanding buffs, gotta stop

Unless your going to buff a line of people, wearing the Master Doctor tag is a compleate problem. I put the tag up in coronet and im spamed with "can u buff me?" 50 times by the same person. and then other people start demanding buffs saying "come to my coords and buff" over and over and over. Something needs to be done. No were not gunna be wookies and protest causing indescribable lag in theed. But i mean seriously somone do something, like make special harasment tickets, I dunno, post your comments.

I agree, people continually asking for buffs is anoying. The Master Doctor title is not worth it if all were gonna get is /tells to buff.
Doctors are made to heal wounds, disease, poison and revive when needed, not to hand out steroids to TKA's and riflemen.

I also hate the people who tip me and expect me to buff them, for those people I just keep there money and /addignore if they keep asking..or complaining.

I agree with your sentiments, and your words may be prophetic.


I suspect there will be some pretty sweeping changes to the whole HealEnhance world when the combat revamp and HAM changes come in. For some it may be a case of "be careful what you wish for - you may get it." Super-Buffs may be consigned to the past.

Great! The ability to "super buff" myself is the only reason I'm a doc. They might as well nerf that too- My pistoleer skills are never going to work anyway. Take away my buffing skills, and I have zero reason to keep playing. I guess thats what the Devs want...

If people ask me for buffs when I'm clearly not buffing, I just state an outrageous price like 15-20k. Most people say it's a ripoff, and I tell them that's my I'm-not-buffing-right-now price. Although some people do take it, and for that much I'll take a few minutes to buff people.

with the high-end mobs we have now, no way in hell they will even think of lowering the buffs, the perverbial **edit** will hit the fan if that happens.

One thing to do was brought up in another thread. Create a nice long /afk message to explain why you are not buffing and then go /afk. Because most of the 1337 d00d's hate to read, give them enough to read that they lose interest and go elsewhere.


AFK Message: Sorry,I am not buffing or rezing right now, but if you would like to offer me some amount that might get my attention more thanmy current important business, then itcould possibly be put on hold. Plus keep in mind that I will not travel to you unless an additional travel expense is offered as well, to be paid in advance. If you are overt or TEFed then I can't do anything anyway. I am also not looking to join a city, guild or hunting group at this time.
