Oh stop with the Nerf talk. Everyone knew the game was changing. And based on the information we have currently, we don't know if a TK will even be able to PB any longer. We need more Info before we start bitchin
My question to you is when is the information coming? How is this "upgrade" going to be ready in 6 weeks, but they still dont have any concrete info they can give. I dont like alot of the proposed changes, Alot of it seems to be the quick and dirty version. Players dont want buffs...permabuff everyone? Triple melee masters are too strong...add skill point requirements? I really dont understand this shift in doc crafting...unless they think that Doctors have too much money.
In my opinion, they could have fixed all of the problems differently(better) but it would have been harder.

Can't help but disagree there. A "quick and dirty" revamp would have been to simply modify the HAM system slightly and nerf buffs overall. What they did was rewrite the entire combat system, from the HAM to the buffs to the different combat professions and their specials.
Saying this is quick and dirty is a bit of an exhagguration.

My Doc is a oc for the buffs and stimpacks. She is a Doc/Swardsman so i can go and kill stuff when I'm not playing my jedi. With this nerf, she loses her whole tamplate. She can't buff anything that a TKM can't powerboost. She doesn't provide a service that she can market. What's the point?
I think Doc/swardsman will still be a rock solid tank post CU so you will still as cappable as any to go out and kill stuff when your not playing your jedi.
Also, with the new ham system you will not need to deal with loggin her in to buff your jedi so that will be a time saver.
As for a service she can market well, I suspect looting will be the center economy (not that is not all ready if you check the trade forums). So you can have her group with other and try to loot.
My advice if your grinding Jedi is to get out and capture as many pearls, crystals etc as you can while the farming is still easy.

I've never seen anything ever released on the original scheduled release date before, I'd seriously give it 8 to 10 weeks.

From my experience, people don't need much information at all before they start bitchin...
However, we already know that crafting is being removed from doc, that's been enough to b***h about up until now... ![]()

The CU will be tied to Rage of the Wookies, and that will be out in time for the movie.
Nobody said it has to work properly in order to be released...Just ask Microsoft!
I did and the phone line went dead.

The concerns of all are noted. I understand we have many people that love to craft and heal. What we do know is that somehow BE is getting our crafting tree. What we don't know is what exactly will be given to them. When people read about the CU and see BE will be taking the Doctor Crafting tree, they suddenly think "OMG BE's are going to be the new "Ultra-Crafters for medical supplies!?!?!!!!11!!!"
We don't know that.
Actually if you search for one of Thunderheart's replies in the bloated mess that is the CU thread you do see this:
"Doctors will need to use the character respec to redefine their skill set, but that playstyle is preserved."
I'm probably pointing out the obvious here, but if Medic gets med crafting and BE supplies components for it, then there will be no need for doctors to respec. So at the moment it seems a fair probability that Dev's do have BE in mind as the master medsupply crafters. That being the case I'd suggest focusing on what we might replace the crafting tree with, it's about the most positive action we can take.
Of course the piecemeal release of info, doesn't help though, I myself am as annoyed about the way this was announced as anyone else; it's been done in such away that it was inevitably going to upset people. A bit of a PR blunder really, expecting positive feed back on an incomplete and less than positive picture, was wildly optimistic. I think Corrs would have an easier time if a little more though was put in to announcements like this; not their responsibility of course but ultimately they're the poor souls who have to cop the flak SOE could help them out a bit.
[EDIT] Not that I disagree with the cut and thrust of what you say mind, we should step back from the hyperbole where we can. Just what we have here is a fundamental communication problem rather than any one group being at fault.
