Thread: I've Stopped Buffing the Public....
- I was told I was overpricing at 8500 per buff (2100 all stats for 3 hrs)
- I was treated like a buff bot (no big thing, but still)
- I had TWO buff and runs (Bank tipped 1 whole credit so I'd see the mail message)
- I had to settle a brawl on who was next in line when two morons lined up side by side
- People asking how much the buff was/value of the stats when I was yelling it out every 20 seconds
- People coming up and abusing my droid (Puking on it, hitting it Its a small thing, but still)
- People copping an attitude when I tried to talk to them (It gets lonley out there. I started talking to another doc for a bit out of lonliess)
- I had some assclown threaten to report me if I didn't start buffing him after I lost his bank tip in the middle of a masive spam attack (Gotta love CNet)
- Somehow, my droid kept wandering off on me. I had to keep storing it and then recalling it
- At the end of two hours of buffing, I made a whopping 350,000 credits at a cost of 275,000 in buffpacks, and food.
I don't know how the regular buffer docs do it. I have a newfound respect for anyone that can put up with the abuse, attitude and lack of profits. From now on, I'll just get my money the old fashion way, Janta missions on Dantooine.

Yea, it is a dead horse but I guess the newer docs need somewhere to blow off some steam. Better here than in spatial in Coronet City. ![]()

- Pricing problems
- Not making as much as combat professions doing XXX missions
- I catch heat from rude people because of...
- Droid Stealing
- And so on...
The one thing that I never see people saying in any discussions about buffs reguarding pricing issues.. well I dont think that one is winable anymore. This is an argument that is just to far reaching... 9/10 timesout of two guys with similar buffs the one with cheaper ones will usually drive away the other provided he can handle the ammount of business.
People need to start realising that by saying that "Combat professions can make 1 mill a buff set on XXX missions, so I deserve to be paid 50k" isnt the best arguement. If someone wanted to make the money of a mission runner then thats what they should do.. not take on a supply & demand enterprise that requires capital to start and maintain.
Everyone thinks someone is rude.. the more you have to deal with people face to face the more you think people are jerks, especially when under pressure to hurry through a line of clients. Im afraid that the only cure Ive found for this is to be nice to your customers and give them a price that makes them think you care. Its been a long time since Ive had to deal with jerk but if I cant talk it out I dont sweat it, thats what they make the ignore list for.
Droid stealing is a fad... like Disco ![]()
Im sure there are many more reasons that people use to feel like they are justifying a steady increase in price. Many of them might be good reasons that people would listen to if people wouldnt always bring up the same reasons that are always like comparing apples to oranges. I, like many of the rest of us are tired of hearing these threads on buffs when they all end the same. Wouldnt it be novel and interesting if an entire thread of buff arguments was made up of fairly new and comparable arguments instead of the same old crap?
