Thread: New CU Patch (4/2) = No reason to heal anymore?
Professional changes
- Medical XP is now tracked as part of combat and is granted with the kill credit.
- Altered medical XP requirements to match other combat professions
This is confirmed. Spent the better part of the last 24 hrs getting to 3/3/4/4 medic, kicked off when they dropped TC5, logged back in, and not only are the last 2 boxes 70k instead of 15k XP, but I don't get squat for XP when healing ANYONE.
So the last 140k of XP I have to get in combat.
Someone explain my motivation for healing ANYONEEVER again?? ![]()

I understand the idea of tallying the healing xp while in combat; but out of combat healing (i.e. wounds) should grant xp. Not sure if this is intended, or buggy (the no xp out of combat).

Don't mind the second change, but I dislike the first.
I think we can get them to change it if we all give negative feeback on the reports and boards; I think we can all agree on this point.
EDIT: Got those two mixed around

As a combat profession this sorta makes sense. Doctors are now the same as clerics in other games. You don't see clearics sitting aroudn town selling heals, you see them in groups healing. As for being viable solo.. thats what the rest of yoru skill points are for.

But I don't think we want to be a carbon copy of clerics from other games
I don't mind the new interface or our componentless abilities, but this change pretty much destroys one of my favorite playstyles, which is med center healing. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me, and neither does getting rid of the system messages for heals/food/etc
The dev team had an SOE moment there...
