Eh, until CU it's going to be that way... only thing you can do is grit your teeth and bare it. It'll all get better eventually.

If I had to grind doc again, I'd take my droid and head for the coronet starport with action and health wound packs in tow ... if you're grinding a profession, you go to the animals, you don't wait for them to come to you ... and thats unfortunatly what you have to do with doc now as well ....
though to be honest ... even at novice medic you can get some very nice xp with even halfway decent wound packs ...

What you say is very true. When I'm bored, i go from medical center to medical center to try to find wounded people helping for help but I'll i find are tumblers with people sitting around them. Medical centers used to be filled with Doctors but that has changed. They could be called grinding centers now.
That's why I would change the medical XP points to give a lot more to wound healing, and less to damage healing so that prople are more encouraged to help the wounded more than tumblers. When I was grinding TKM and Swords, I found it very difficult to be seriously wounded. I would come back from hours of fighting with 50 wound points so the demand for heals is very low. Usually, the only time I'll heal wounds is when someone i'm buffing asks for wound healing at the same time. Also, when was the last time you needed to use a few quickness woundpacks, or constitution wounds? Probably never because you don't get that kind of damage either.
Right now, the need to have doctors is mostly to provide buffs and to craft sa high as possible Stimpacks-B so that fighters with novice medic can heal their damage themselvs.
Personally, my first profession was Doctor because I liked the idea of healping people out. Now, the need for other Doc services other than buffs is very low. Poison healing from time to time and that's about it.
I'm not complining because we can still make a solid living with buffing, I just hope that this aspect of the prof doesn't get nerfed. I make very little (or no) money healing wounds and damage, if they take away the income potential for buffs, it will make Doc a very difficult profession to keep.

Im grinding doc through tumblers right now, but whenever I see somebody with wounds I stop my heal macro to heal their wounds...Thats what med centers are for, not tumbling, so while a legit job is available, it takes precedence over my grinding

Well, that's very nice of you but I'm afraid it's not everyone's case. I remember a couple of times being in a medical center with 3-4 grinding medics healing a tumbler and a severely wounded player came in. I am master doc so I don't need medical XP anymore so I waited for someone else to heal that player but no one did. I was surprised because healing wounds gives a lot more XP and damage. I figured either no one cares, or everyone was AFK. So I ended up healing those players but in a way, I found it a little cheap that a players come to a medical center for help only to be faced with a tumbler (AFK) and auto-healers (AFK also).

I have to agree that I could definatly appreciate it if there would be a difference between the xp you get from stims and xp you get from wound's / buffs ... ie, maybe the first tree use injury treatment xp, x44x use wound treatment xp and obviouly the last stays with crafting .... would change the grind to master doc dramatically i would think and mayeb even make peopl start using the lower level buffs again ....

Very good point, I love the idea. I would put a *lot* more experience to wound/poison healing because after all, damage heals itself overtime. Of course, it takes a while to heal when you are buffed but you also need a lot of stims (or high power ones) to refill a buffed player. I'd give 10-15 times more XP to healing wounds than damage.

You guys rock! I was expecting to get flamed which is why I stay off forums. Instead it is shaping up to being a good chat. I like the xp ideas and perhaps stim's used in med centers being lower xp would help.

I tumbled my way to Master doc, with healing wounds as they came into med center. Since Master I craft and buff for guildies and friends.
I'm sure there has been others on forums to say this but " is med centers just for tumbling now"?
Seriously, even for those willing to tip for heals, they stand around for ever. You'd think with JTL and the flyboys with wounds, that some people would help out. Doc's are busy buffing and novice doc's and under seem to be constantly on macro and afk.
It would be nice if they would speed up the heal time in med centers since afk med centers are useless.
Gripe over. *waits for 1 star*

I guess buff queues are the new med centre these days, like someone said in this thread you have to find the people yourself.
I definitely think wound healing should yield even more xp and healing damage should be reduced unless it's in combat so a medic would want to heal in a support role (prolly impossible to implement I guess).

You know, there would be a really easy fix to stop afk healers from macro healing afk tumblers..
Remove the tumbling feature that noone uses.
Honestly, when was the last time someone tumbled in combat?

I agree. Sometimes, this is even a major problem, with people lining up. Though, at other times, it's almost the opposite. I get almost no XP from wound healing the last few days because by the time I can get to using my second wound heal, three or four others have already healed them up. (and this is the level of activity I like to see, BTW, just annoying a little at the time)
Though, I do wish people who needed healing wouldn't sit around the tumblers on the floor like the tumbler-healers. Had someone get mad the other day because I (and about two other medic/doctors healing people) didn't heal him. The way he was sitting, I just assumed he was one of the macroers and didn't even target him.
