Thread: Your thoughts on the resouce reward?

Thanks, so now the choice is Pisro, Isneja, or Aieprema....

I suppose Thamothmid will no longer sell for 1100cpu on Flurry. At least not in the short term.
It will also mean a period where any buffs made with current avian will not sell since there will be many buffs with the best resources ever on the market. It should all sort itself out in a few months, but it will have an impact...
Exactly why I did not bid on the Ohio that was up for auction. I would much rather spend my credits on some of the Tham that will soon be "spawning".

I go a step farther when something gets bid up - I sell. When I saw some 250 cpu auctions for best ever class 4 liquid fuel on Scylla (which roughly translated into paying 24,000 credits a set for an extra 2 power over a more common, though still old, class 4 liquid), I sold 75% of my year old stock. I've also sold several other best ever buff type resources, only keepingrelatively small quantities for PvP uses. So now I'm selling 900 power buffs instead of 935 power buffs. But I think I've come out ahead on these deals financially and I figure holding credits is less risky than holding resources long term.
I'm undecided how much I want to buy into the "new" resources that will soon be on the market. Since every buff crafter will now basically have at least limited quantities of the exact same resources, I'm not convinced that the most powerful buff packs will retain the same price premium that they enjoy today. Will be an interesting time for speculators.

It's upsetting me because on eclipse, our best spawn of avian meat(also the best spawn of avian meat ever on all servers) pisro, is flooded on the trade forums.
Virtually makes the price of the meat less now, and the rest of the avians I have
This is exacly my point. It has just killed the crafting doc.
I have about 500k of good avian. It is now rather worthless. Who is going to want a 900 power buff when they can have a 950 power buff for free?
Thank goodness I did not use my other resouces to craft with that avian, then not only would the avian be worthless but so would the other high end resouces I would have used to craft an inferior back.

The difference in 50 points is not that big. Plus you have to remember most of the buffing docs don't make their own packs, its all bout less effort for reward. The crafting Docs are still going to own the market.
