There are some images floting around, and someword from the patch notes about this. I wanted to get your opinion? I think it will probably be a DE craftable thing, useable by ID?

I am wondering if Doctors will be the one to handle cybernetics. That would make sense. Maybe we'll need parts from Droid Engineers?

It seems logical that a Droid Engineer would make the cybernetics, and a Doctor would install them...but that's assuming, of course, that the devs do the logical thing

Well they've sort of divided it as IDs do the permanent stuff (migrations, body changes) while Doc deals with short-term changes (buffs, healing, curing poison disease). As the Devs have split the work between ID and Doc before, it'll probably go to the ID.
Now on the crafting side of it, I'd love to see something from us along with BE in it and then crafted by a DE.

cybernetics will be an interesting part of the game to see. I'll be cuious to see how they unfold the details to who does what...I've seen people say Image designers...droid engineers...doctors...all should have a role in the cybernectics....just brainstorming a thought that maybe droid engineers create the cybernetic device...the image designer attaches the device to the person..and removes it I guess....and the doctor maintains it? If maintaining it is something that needs to be done....i so...then all three profession get a piece of the pie....just a thought....

I don't see why they wouldn't do it this way...after all SOE is pretty big on the idea of class interdependancy...if nothing else the process should involve at least a droid engineer and a doctor, but perhaps even the image designers too, and armorsmiths if the cybernetic has any defensive capabilities, and a weaponsmith if it has any offensive capabilities....lol, and a shipwright if it makes you fly (just kidding

Hah, get shipwrights in the mix...heh heh. I'm all for getting multiple classes involved, it helps control the supply and demand, and mostly the over-use if too simple to acquire. High demand and low supply is a professions' best asset.
