what is the point of these professions again?

ok everyone can now use stimpacks withough needing medic. Now if a stimpack can heal better than a doc why would anyone even dabble in medic?.

I though we were supposed to be more needed not less?

You cannot use stimpacks fast enough to keep yourself alive in high-level combat. 1 heal of 1200+, but then 60 seconds no heals at all. A Doc or CM alternating between to healing moves (each about 5 to 15 seconds reuse timer) can do a lot better.

The new stims have a 1 min cool down timer. They are not that useful in most hunting parties now. The new stims only heal for 1200 ( it might be alittle less) Our heals are for alot more and we really dont have a cooldowm timer on our heals.

That works also, but you sacrifice stomach space for it that could probably be better used for something else...

Well the ability to buff yourself is a bonus. My favorite doc buff so far has to be the adrenaline shot to reduce healing cooldown time and special move cooldown time.

Still kinda burnt that a master doc is limited by CL when using stimpacks. Also can only craft stim-b's. I understand that med crafting has been shunted to BE but thats a little silly IMO.

Ruby Bliel used to be the utterly useless (couldn't possibly reach 100) lower-powered version of Havla. Now it cuts the stim recycle time from 60 to 30 seconds. I make them with 17 filling, 16 minute duration.

Without respec meaning that I'm past the point of changing my template with the CU respec. I am currently 0000 in Doctor, TKM, Master Pikeman, and I was wondering if one of you guys can help me figure out whats the best way to gaine Medical Experience. I ask this because, even with Bactajab, Bactashot, manually clicking a stim, I still do not get any Medical XP. I play the tank, and I use taunt like its a bad habit. So the question I pose is:

How do you recommend I gain xp for Doc? what sort of strategy is there to do so?

What would be better, 4000, 2002, 0004, 2200, or 0202 in doctor? I play the tank role in any combat, so advice would be A++

Wong-fei,

The way medical experience seems to work now is that you 1) must be in combat to get it and 2) dont get it until the end of the fight.

You get experience for healing yourself or someone else. If I don't do any healing in a fight I get say 4000 weapons exp and 400 combat exp. But if I heal the whole fight and shoot nothing I would get 4000 medical experience. If I both fight and heal during the encounter the experience gets divided between medical exp and weapon exp.

Oh, and the medical experience indicator message is showing up under the combat tab with the rest of the combat exp indicators, so look there for it.

As far as I can tell there is no exp for out-of combat damage or wound healing or buffing. Someone please correct me if they have found evidence to the contrary.

Wouldn't that make Doctors that much more useless? At 1200 (if thats what stim Ds do)a shot thatheal would be about as much as a Doctor could heal without CL 60 or possibly more. I havent done the math but it sounds close from what I've read.

The combat level of the doctor is not important at all. Even docs cannot use instant stims to heal other players - instant stims only heal the person using them, no exceptions.
Comparison:

a) 1200 Stim-D every 30 seconds = 2400 / min

b) Doctor alternating between /bactashot and /bactajab, each one having a 15 second reuse timer:
- bacta shot: 700 * 4 = 2800
- bacta jab: 300 * 4 = 1200
=> total: 4000 / min.
