Thread: Advanced component resource quality

we all know that advanced component resource are hard to get, especially things like Lokian whild wheat.

I've had one good patch, during first two week of release when lokian wild wheat was 900+ quality, but ever since then it was pitiful.

What I find strange is do quality of these resources matter as much as resource for normal components you think?

I've used some lokian wild wheat that were less than ideal (750ish O.Q.) and I can't life of me tell if they are much worse than ones made with best lokian wild wheat of 950+.

Anyone else noticed this?

I think it kinda depends on the experiment points you have available. If you only have 2 lets say, its a waste to use that high quality stuff because you can only get it up to about 30% any ways. So the higher the quality the higher the max % is. If im wrong please correct me. Im not 100% sure on this.

i have to kind of agree with the first poster... i dont see much differnce between 700 and 900 OQ stuff with 10 expt points and good crafting stations. i can hit high 90% either way. anyone have a definitive answer on this one?

Yeah, the answer is don't look at the percentages at all. Look at the stats you are getting instead.

For example, with a 1000 OQ/PE Organic and a 1000 OQ Chemical you would be able to make a CRDM with a power rating of 20.

I figured out max charges for a BEC too, but I don't have my notes with me, bah.

At any rate you need to compare how a Top CRDM (power 20) compares to even a low end ACRDM to see if it is worth it in that respcet.

Then if you are trying to loow within that schematic (like you have 2 differentTat Fiberplasts, or something) why not see what the final power is when changing that one ingredient. Unfortunately I can'r eally test this any time soon, but then you can compare if, say, a 700OQ resources gives you 10 less power than a 900OQ resources, is it worth it? (Obviously that will depend on personal taste, the final item being made, since 10 power is piddly when making a Wound E pack, for example, and don't forget to remember that your own skills will modify that power by some multiplier, but I don't know the formulas used).

I haven't really gotten into testing that yet. But what would really interest me more is to find out what the minimum (assuming at least a good success on creation and no experimentation) is on the advanced components. Then it might be easier to see if making those trips is really worth it if the advanced resources are not quite up to snuff.

Incredible is 182. I've hit it and I've read of others. That might be the max. Made with 900+ berries and 900+ water. That's how I've hit 410 with no ACRDM.

My best is:

BEC: 21 Charges 11 Power (or shift those 32 points around however you want) (No clue what the max is - maybe 40 points?)

CRDM: 65 (I'm guessing max is 70)

LS: 124 (BOY do our berries suck) (No clue what the max is - maybe 200?)

SDS: 69 (I'm guessing max is 70)

Actually, I think my guesses for the max's are all low except maybe for the ALS at 200.

Zarlor: What are the max number of charges/power on the advanced components... any idea?

I only have 9 exp. points at the moment

My best to date

ABEC - 19/11 With one more exp., I might be able to get this up to 19/12 or 19/13

ALS - 120

ACRD - 48

Are these maxed out? I hope not due to the fact I seesome making Stim-B's in the 400's. The closest I can get is 380-390.

Thanks!
