So I'm trying to find some consitency in buffing, but haven't been able to do so. I am a master doc, i use buffs that are 855-900 base, i use a med-droid with the highest medical rating and bio enhanced clothes that give me +50 healing/wound. My highest buff has been 3500, and my lowest has been 855.... and i think i hit those numbers in the same buffing session -

patient "WOW! 3500 strength - hey 855 action! kill me and start over!"

As a Master Doc, who makes most of her living off buffs, i want to eliminate these huge fluctuations. I've tried mind buffs both dancers & spice - makes no difference. I give most of my buffs, while standing by a bank, i have noticed that i tend to give consitantly bigger buffs while standing inbasic camps with a droid.

Anyway just looking for any extra advise, while most of my buffs tend to be in the 2k's, i want to emilinate anything under 1k.

cant stop the fluctuations

the only thing you can do is get some BE clothing for wound treatment for a little bit of a boost.

Haven't read the message boards often, but I'm personally feeling like a pretty weak master doc. I've never had a buff in 3k's and am happy when I see the buffs go over 2k. Every once in a while I get a buff below 1k and feel horrible. Because I'm not a surveyor, I don't have much opportunity to catch the 900+ quality special ingredients when they show up in large quantities, so I use the best I can get. Most have a quality of over 900.

I would very much like to know how so many seem to be getting 850+ power on their buffs. I had to earn the same experience and have achieved 810 at best so far. (I've only been at it for a couple of weeks however)

So am I simply a bad doctor, or is getting 850+ takingsome really special ingredients? How much does the crafting station and tools play into it? Does a medical droid work better than being in a med center? (I've never used a medical droid. What should I look for?) Does the enhanced clothing help a great deal?

So, if anyone can give me a clue, I'd really appreciate it.

Max bonus is, indeed, +25 total bonus. So just add +25 to your current skill level and that is your cap no matter what the character skills sheet says. (Check out the issues list on Skill Enhancement Concerns for all the details and Dev response.)

Yes +25 is the cap, and a 3500 buff followed by a buff that matches the packs max value? I have never heard of that.. Something serious is wrong if you get that.. Dont trouble yourself we (all) hit below 1k more often than not now.. seems to depend more on the patients stats now than ever. But is still a roll of the dice.

Best situation

Master Doc

Buff packs 750-900 (under 700 and you will find yourself hitting theunder 1k alot)

Bio-Enhanced clothing +25 (the most you can get to work)

Droid with 110 medical

Patient with zero BF and wounds

Patient Stripped down in armor

Patient with unknown stat migration.

Prayer to the nerf gods. (this part is most usefull)

Untrue, only the first 25 med bonus counts. Been stated by devs before. Anything above that is a waste of clothing space and money.

Sorry there is nothing you can do, its all a roll of the dice when it comes to buff.....even with a 900+ buff packs there is always that one slight small chance that you will get a 900 buff....

As you said before there is no consitancey to determan what helps or what doesn't so no matter what you use it may or not help, even with a +25 it may help you get a 3000 buff but it still won't provent a 900 buff...

I guess all you can do is cross your fingers.

also be aware that the lower level camps have lower level medical mods. A basic camp kit is 65 medical mod, meaning a 1000 buff would only yield a 650 buff. Make sure you are outside of a camp with your 110 droid out.

Also, avoid buffing outside a starport or by other large crowds, because other medics/doc will stroll by with a 80 med rating droid or something, and you get a lower buff. Always stay away from other people's droids when buffing. And always recharge your droids frequently! In fact, I always charge mine when I pull it out.

By following all the rules, with my 855 power packs I *NEVER* go below 1k (10% boost from droid, 25% boost from BE clothes), it simply isn't possible My range is around 1050 to 3300 buff

thank you for all your tips - I wanted to add that there may be some varriable when buffing in the field - last night I was hired to go to Dathomir, I was buffing out side the Rancor cave and I'd say the whole night I got 1 maybe 2 buffs below 1k, the rest were in the nice solid 2.5k range. There was no camp persay, right before you go in there is an area where you can pull droids and vehicles. I was buffing in this area.... anyway my buffs were way more consistant - and that's all I really want.
