I think it's time we showed these whining SOB's what it would be like to hunt without buffs period. Buff your guild, buff yourself, but keep it in the family. No more Doctor services, no more lines for buffs, no more buffing for creds at all.
Give it 2 days and people will be begging us to give them buffs for 50k a set.
Who's with me?!

Honestly why strike 50k is too much for a buff and I have some of the best buffs I have seen 2600 to all stats and 3:30 hours

If you've never been a Doctor you don't understand. I'll assume your not a Doctor and enlighten you.
Buffing lines of ungrateful players is boring, buff packs cost a lot of credits wether you make them yourself or buy them from someone else. Either you make a little bit more making your own packs, but you pay for it in time spent buying resources and crafting. Why spend your time catering to players that whine at you for charging over 10k per set of buffs when you can make far more buffing yourself and running missions? It boggles me.

Actually I am master docter and have been for abit now =)I just don't do the starport thing no point in it. I fly the Tag and people come to me and pay rather well for my time at that. I'm too laid back for the Starport Spam Life.

gloria,
the problem i have with this , is realy 99% of the players i have met are really ok.
whether they asked me on dath or endor, or at the rare times (about once every two weeks) that i pull out my droid and buff in CNET.
a few days ago i tried an experement.
it was crazy time, and i called out: "buffsetc etc for 14k. this is the express lane" thats it more or less. a few came over and left without saying a word. and i never had a line longer than3 player. but still i buffed about30 players straigt till i got sick of it and closed shop. NOT ONE BAD WORD.
i have a deal though: i have in my spam : "if you are a new player with 2 or less badges i will buff you for 2k" . usually no more than two players a shift take me up on it. i have done this ever since i got Doc.
i think that this makes players feel i am fair. they would then feel silly for saying "wow you are too expensive" because it puts things into perspective for them. any player not 12 years old, realizes that another 4k per buff for them is nothing, but it makes the doc's work more worth it.
i have a feeling that some of the blame for the way players treat us, MIGHT jsut might be our fault. i am not saying you have done anythign wrong - i do not know you, i mean this collectivly.
i am all for a strike if things were really bad, and maybe i do not public buff enough to really see it. or maybe its a server thing, i dunno.
i DO think the standard price for buffs should be 14k.
If we all gave noobs / weak players discounts, i think it would help us. who can say a bad word to me, when i am being so generous?

I feel your pain. Unfortunatly I think 90% of the Docs out there already are on strike and have been for months.
Just a few days ago I decided to buff in the Coronet sp for the old-school fun of it and to kill time while the factories were cooking.
I was the only one in the sp buffing, had a line 30 deep, charging 10k (not doing it for the money, I could easily make more with Janta missions...). What followed were complaints that my prices were too high (FYI I just paid 300 cpu for avian), jerks who couldnt keep the line and the general tell-hell all of us who have ever been buff-monkey's are used to. I didnt want to leave everyone hanging so I kept going until another doc showed up (poor guy
) Having been thouroghly reminded of why most Doctors dont buff at SP's anymore (myself included), I took off the Doctor tag, jumped the next shuttle and went back to happily crafting in peace.

This is absolutely pathetic. 50k for buffs is ridiculous. Break down the actual cost of the pack at say 20cpu -50cpu on average to produce one buffpack. You are looking at 156 total resources for an Enhance Health D. This equates to 3120 - 7800 per pack to actually make. At 15k per 6 buffs that's 2500c per buff you are making. At worst most buff packs will run around 20-30 charges netting you 50k - 75k income. So your average cost to make a pack is 5460c with a net profit of 45k-70k per packif you make your packs. If you buy packs already made for 15k each you still make a profit of 35k - 60k per pack depending on the amount of charges you have in the pack. After your first round of buffing you will more than have paid for your investment in BE clothes. Depending on your server, Bivoli won't be that expensive to buy either. I usually get a crate of 25x3 +25 at 125k each that last for 14 min. That comes to roughly 1667c per Bivoli but since it lasts for several buffs worth, that cost is nearly negligible.
So after your initial investments have been paid for:
110+ Droid 75k
BE Clothes +25 WT 50k
Your main costs of investment are:
Crate of +25 Bivoli(back to back will last you about 17.5 hours at 14 min each)125k
Set of18Buffpacks(Made/Bought with 20 charges per pack)98k/270k
Say you use up 20 seconds per application of buffs those 3 packs would last you 2 hours before you would run out and use a total of 9 Bivoli in that time running you 15k for the Bivoli.
Your total net profit if you make your packs(15k charge x 20 charges for 3 sets): 787k
Your total net profit if you buy your packs (15k charge x 20 charges for 3 sets): 615k
So you are telling me that charging 50k is reasonable why? So the above figures can come out like this?
Total net profit if you make your packs(50k x 20 charges for 3 sets): 2.887 mil
Total net profit if you buy your packs (50k x 20 charges for 3 sets): 2.715 mil
The reason most players treat us Doctors so rudely is because of price gouging like this. It starts with the resource sellers and filters down because everyone wants a big piece of the pie. There are doctors out there who are unwilling to settle for less than 900+ meat and they pay ANYTHING to get it. You are the ones who drive the prices up. Players will sell the meat at what the most desperate person is willing to pay.

OMG....
First off...I am a doc (4/4/4/0)
(buffing 2163 for 3:50 all stats charging 9k)
Second...I am a dancer (4/1/1/1)
Third...I am a musician (4/1/1/1)
Maybe I am on a special server or something(Chilistra) but not one person has been rude to me when I am in doc mode. I get tipped usually more than what I am asking.
Listening to you guys....the world is against docs. You should be an entertainer...I havent recieved a tip in 5 days and all I hear is how entertainers suck because they are all afk all the time.
I buy my buffpacks since I cant make them(300k for 3 full sets of 28) with brandy I figure that it costs me about 4.5-5k a buffset. Charging 9k makes me a 100% profit. Like you all have pointed out...you can make more money doing other things. I buff because I like to help out people.
Everyone I buff tellsme I should charge more. Not one person has told me I am overcharging or that my buffs are not worth it. I have even had people leave other lines for mine simply because mine last for 20 mins longer(hey 20 mins is 1-2 missions and unless you are doing something insanely hard....200-300 more on a buff isnt really going to be noticable).
People complain to me more about how all they hear is doc's complaining about buffing.
I think you guys need to chill out a bit and maybe decide if being a doc is worth it for you. If all you do is complain about how abused docs are...maybe you are not cut out to be a doc in the first place?

I sell my buffs on Shadowfirefor 15K and continue to do so even when the docs on both sides of me are charging 10K. I would rather (and have done so many times) give a free buffthan lower my price. This morning I was even advertising for the doc next to me who was charging 10K. My line continued to remain about 3 times the length of his. People told me that theywere willing to pay for quality buffs and the extra 5K was of no consequence. Just something to think about...
As far as the strike, I'm all in favor of it. Not for the sake of raising prices, but as a reminder to the many players who have begun to takeour professionfor granted.
