I have heard this rumor from a BE with ingame Doc connections...any truth here?

No, it's completely false! Absolutely, undeniably, false. False like grampa's teeth false.
Buffs, in fact, have been reduced to 29 minutes.
Grumblegrumble...30 minute craziness...darn long ears tryin to steal easter from jesus...grumblegrumble...

The Mythical Combat Revamp will make this a completely different game. Buffs may or may not have their durations drastically cut, but it's a very safe bet that we will never again have one guy, wearing uber composite armor and using uber 3 hour long Doctor buffs,that canrun right up to an Enraged Rancor lair and solo the whole thing without taking a scratch.
Shorter durations would encourage people to actually bring Doctors along in their group (yes, I said group without the word "solo" in front of it). Without being able to rely on buffs all the time, people will actually have a need for skilled Medics in their group. It is also very likely that the power of buffs will be cut drastically. Every single person who has spent the past year running around in 80+% composite with 2400+ Doctor buffs has been playing the game on "Super Easy Cheesy Mode", and I think that is guaranteed to change.

I would not be surprised if this became true in the combat revamp for the reasons that the poster above articulated wonderfully 
Let's hope that such changes are truly balanced to make the game more challenging.

This is a ridiculous idea, as if it wasn't hard enough to produce enough buffs now to keep people happy. Imagine having to re-buff players every thirty minutes, I'll tell you what if it comes to this say goodbye to this doc. It would be impossible for us to even enjoy a moment of the game with this kind of time limit. Not to mention the supply of buff packs would be used up in a matter if hours on any given server. The resources just don't spawn enough of anything decent to have them nerf duration that much. Just my two cents though, not like it matters.

You know.. maybe the disease/poison resists were the pre-cursor to buffs. Like the duration/base etc being all split. Thats how buffs should be anyhow 
So you can max out on the resists, but oh wait you got no duration. And duration is short so it matters etc..
who knows
maybe i'll still be playing by then

I am under the impression it is not the time but more the strength of the buff. To put it on line with the entertainer buffs. It will double your base. Did not hear anything on time.

either way, i don't use doctor to make money,i use it for guildies, and myself, so if duration is low, i'll just use less buffs
one thing i can't wait to see, is in pvp raids, when an entire teams buffs die and get pwned, that should be amusing =)

BS if buffs rae made to half hour that's crap. There is nothing wrong with buffs armor is f*cked thing. Maybe they should make it so entertainer buffs buff you for 2400 to each mind stat instead of nerfing our stuff cause that's crap

im a beliver in the nerf to, personaly. . as doc/rifles its kind of sick when i can pwn 3 death watchs wraids in under 20 mins. . .not how this game should be =(

A half-hour buff is way too short. Sometimes it takes that long to get to where you are hunting. Not to mention if you're in a group and there's only one doc, by the time everyone's buffed the first guy will be ready to lose their buff.

So we can count on selling 6 or 7 buffs per player in the same time frame that we currently sell them just one? Talk about a cash cow.
