Thread: Why you will never be able to charge enough for healing

I haven't died in a long time either, but last time I did my wounds were totally erased, so I guess that just goes to show... At any rate, I'm going to withdraw my comments and offer a new one, generate business for yourself by running around throwing disease packs at anyone you can. Fill the hospitals with all black wookiees (and everyone else) and watch the credits roll in.

Well people do get wounds without dieing, and they do add up if your in the feild a while. These wounds stay, cloning only prevents new wounds from happening. So you will always have plenty of market... Though I'm not sure how you would make money, heh....

my impression was that if u clone u get no cloning wounds but any wounds you had when u died stay...

hence why CM disease is totally grieving...

and as long as there are CMs around people will be coming in with black hams

Why does wounding someone have to be grief? Why can't we look at this in a positive light and call it "creating opportunities for doctors?"

Besides, wounding someone is the best way to take them out of a fight, if they can keep popping out of the cloning center with near perfect health, they'll be constantly coming back at you and visa versa. When they are wounded to nearly no health, maybe they'll stop attacking. I know I plan to use diseases judiciously. You may win 9 of 10fightsagainst me, but I'll win the war.

because i dont mind dying and i know other people dont mind it as well..

PvP is only fun if there are other players to kill..if everyone is in the med center healing from wounds...no one to kill...PvPs not so fun...

do you like sitting in the med center healing urself when you would like to be PvPing?

why would u think someone else would like it?

fact is people want to play the game..its a game its not about winning or losing..its about having fun...now if u are the type to have fun at the expense of someelses misery by all means disease away...

the way that pvp is right now, its all tha disease do...

now if pvp ever develops into a tactical fight where people are defending areas or buildings and it becomes neccessary to really take out enemy by attrition then i wouldnt say disease is greiving...

as it is now, one hit, spam knockdowns and 15 secs fights...all the disease does is cuase wounds making people sit out of the fight...

now some people like the idea of taking people out of the fight so they can basically zerg the other less numerous grp. But honestly, this really isnt all that fun or take all that much skill...

now this is just my opinion...id rather have more people pvping and haveing even fights that are fun then getting lots of cheap kills using disease and causing misery to others...

No, I don't mind healing my wounds, that is part of the game, to get wounded. The basic problem is this, every once and a while my bro and I and occationtionally some others will go whoop some tail in an Imperial city. And while sometimes we get our cans handed to us other times it is total domination and the people keep coming back for more, and it gets tiresome. Especially after you do eventually get killed and loose status, so the other team runs up to you in the med center and spams you with duels and horrific language, I can't think of a better way to get them to S T F U, than to make sure that if they piss me off they will be spending time in the hospital.

Other than those cases I totally agree with you about having a good sustained fight where the organization and teamwork of the two teams determines the winner, not who can spam knockdown or panic or action shot the fastest.

You'll make tons of cash selling buffs once they fix them. And everytime I have died, and I cloned, my wounds were still there....

Newbie death is NOT always on. Repeated death causes bad wounds.

What has been disabled is the corpse system; i.e. the requirement that you insure things to have them stay with you when you clone.

Just an FYI.

There is one simple answer: cloning. With cloning in the game as cheap as it is, we doctors will never be able to compete. With my fully experimented wound pack Bs I can heal someone for 2 credits a wound. When someone dies without cloning they take between 500-700 (thats what I normally get) points of damage in the six pools we can heal. So at two credits a wound point it becomes much more savy for the average combat class to clone if they suspect anythingmore than one death. Keep in mind that at novice doctor, you are only going to be breaking even, after you get Cs and Ds you can start turning some profit to maybe aford that trip to Lok to get ABECs. I am aware that there are people who aren't going to clone, no matter what. But I think that number will drop through the floor if there is any kind of payment required for healing. Yes, there will be docs who heal for free, but why risk it when you can clone and be done with the whole issue?

The bottom line is this, so long as there is cloning and newb death (which seems like it'll last forever) there will be no reason for anyone to pay for a service that they can circumvent for a minor fee. There are a few options to fix this:

1) Doctor/Medic missions that allow us to get money and experience.

2) Raising the price of cloning.

3) Have wounds last through cloning. (I have heard from some that this does happen, but it never has to me)

WHen I first started to play and Newbie death ran out I would have half my atributes wounded and many times came in with the dreaded 1 1 1 HAM. now when I die it does damage to about a quarter of my HAM per death. And no I don't clone. That would be like putting roots down

Heres why your patients really dont care if you bitch about tipping:

Its been proven you only like to complain about it, not fix it. I put a thread up with an idea that would easily handle tipping for the wounds you heal, directly proportional to how much you healed.

How many responces? Almost none. Not even negative feedback, just complete ignoring.

After racking my brain, coming up with an idea that would bea perfect solution to tipping, and putting it here... it gets ignored.

LoL, it makes it so much funnier when i read how 1/3 of the threads on this forum are dedicated to "We dont get enough money".

Keep whining.
