Players will now have many craftable light sources in the game that will have the true functionality of a light source. Additionally, many new lamp styles have been added to the game and now players can also have candles. Players will be able to purchase architect crafted candles and lamps that act as a light source. The decay rate of the candles and lamps depends on crafting quality. Candles will have a lifespan between 7 and 21 days, lamps between 21 and 42 days.



How are the new lighting objects working for you?



Did you craft them? What decay lifespans were you able to achieve?


Did you purchase them?

I have made them and i like them HOWEVER. The houses still have too much light in the to be of any use. Unless i can use them outside since Talus is still too dark.

Oh and to answer your question

1. I stated it above


2. I made them and got up to 30 days with decent but not great steel


3. I made them and havent sold any yet. Nobody wants to buy since houses are still well lit.

I like it, tho im getting a bit lower FPS with lamps/candles than torches. Lamps and candles are little to bright imo.

Yeah they look nice but like Catatafish stated they have little effect on the lighting level in a house as they are already well lit.


Why can't we turn off our interior lights in our houses using a light switch on the wall or something?

Either make Tatooine houses (especially smalls) darker or turn the lamps down. I could barely see the screen with TWO standing lamps down. geez

I dunno, my large Naboo house seems pretty dark inside now. The lights are really noticable.

I like the lighted objects, I bought them off the bazaar 15 minutes after the server came back updue to an extrememly merchant-saavy crafter. However, I would like to see a filter of what color light eachobject can produce. Some rooms need a green hue, some need a blue hue.


Just an idea.

I understand that Archs want a renewable income source, but have you guys considered increasing the item count for houses now that we are REQUIRED to have lights and now we have make item space for them?

Decay is still bugged as reported for the past 2 weeks on test center.


Just remove the decay all together.


Only one light color is dull when we have 4 colors available in outdoor lighting already.

All the houses should be the same brightness level. As it is now, Naboo houses are much darker than Tatooine, Corellian or Generic houses. Lights are required in Naboo houses and completely unnecessary in the others.

the way i read this pre patch i assumed previously made lights would now light up. is it only lmaps made after patch light up?

I like the lights, though I would like the same color options as is available on streetlamps. I did craft a few and rolled around 30 days with only two points of experimentation. Replacing them every month is going to be a hassle which I may or may not decide I want to deal with.
